its like FAMM for real
This place goes by FAMM and that's just what the atmosphere feels like. After getting buzzed in and escorted up the stairs you are greeted by SHORTY (a cute lil chihuahua) but don't get it twisted he is the gate keeper. After some brief paperwork and verification we were let into the Medi Bar. The menu has everything from ALL-STAR to DISCOUNTED HIGH GRADE. Grams range from $9-$20 and 1/8ths from $20-$60. There were other deals on shake too. They have pre-rolls and edibles and Chillo drinks. Their hash is good. I picked up a gram of some bubble melt. While meandering over the menu I was passed a joint so its a PLUS that you can medicate on site. ___ as I enter this I am firing up some BLACKBERRY KUSH -- mmm, its sweet - you can taste the fruitiness. ___ They have a WIDE variety of KUSHES. I am very satisfied w the cheese kush, blackberry kush, banana kush and all star chem dog that I picked up.Can't wait to get some HONEY BUD on my return.

Great alternative to BPG and right down the street
First of all the proximity to the Albatross is an initial thumbs up, I think they're actually above the bar.
The more casual atmosphere threw me off slightly, I previously had only been to Berkeley Patients Group, Harborside and Elemental in SJ all of which are very authoritative and bank-like in comparison. The bud room here is like a dive bar or club space. There's a semi circle counter with huge jars of flower strains in the back like a bar. In fact you can medicate from the very spot you buy just like having a drink at a bar.
The best part is that they have a huge selection and not just in the top shelf. There were several $35 eights to choose from, which are weighed before you. I also received a free J and a coupon for the return visit. Props.ZOMG -

The quality of the experience is never affected by your budget with satisfaction being inevitable.

Came in this morning and was offered a bowl of hash! Really good stuff. I ended up getting some Purple Wreck and some Cheese. Both are amazing strains and will be back for more.

The location is a little bit crazy(just a door ^^), but when you're in it worth it ! The man at the door is really cool and talkative he deserve 6 stars. And so do the rest of the staff.
Best black domina ever smoked and the pressed hash is faboulous for the price ! Try also the euforia she deserve her name.

I was there for the WAX! an OMG the Casey Jones Wax is SUPER. $50 tho =( Overall this club was nice and the next time I go I will Smoke a fat one because you can. Till next time. P.S. like your friends apartment
Every staff member I saw made a point to introduce them self and ask me about my day. The bar that you buy weed from has a tv playing and snacks on the counter. The food delivery service was a definite bonus, and with the great selection of very high quality ganja I'm not sure I would ever leave. You can smoke there, I saw bongs and papers and pipes. I'll be sure to come back and enjoy again.

This place is really cool to kick it and meet new people, but their prices are waaaay off for what they are offering. The uk cheese and gdp were both nice, but for 60 plus tax are absulutely not worth it. 50 dollars tops for what I saw and smoked on. Yes they do have lower shelf buds, but who wants to puff on that when you can get top shelf for the same price at other places? Next time I come here I will buy my buds elsewhere and come here to chill after. I also glanced at their clones and some looked really healthy with solid, white roots for anybody with a greenthumb out there. As far as staff they were chill but its hard to get their attention on the weekend when they are super busy and everybody is sitting at the bar chilling and smoking. I could tell my budtender was getting kind of annoyed with me since I wanted to look at a variety of different strains and he had to keep grabbing and opening/closing the jars. The thing is, nothing looked like true top shelf should and I can't just waste my hard earned money on something that I know won't work.

oxycontin
stopped by here a few days ago and grabbed a couple grams and some wax. the twumps were 'oxycontin' and 'island super skunk'. the wax was 'cotton candy purps'.
the oxycontin is almost 100% dark purple and i swear harborside is selling the same herb but calling it 'blueberry purps'. it smells like candy and smokes a little bit on the sour side with a GDP-ish high. good stuff.
the skunk was light, fluffy, tasty and smoked smooth. nice mellow sativa high.
the wax is amazing. it's $45 but buy that shit, you won't regret it. i've smoked it in a glass hash pipe and a essential vape and both sessions hit the spot. my back pain was completely unnoticeable afterwards.
registration was quick and easy, no hassles. the staff were all very mellow and easygoing. they were bumping some old school roots and a couple J's were going around the room. i liked the low-key nature of this operation. they weren't trying to be all fancy and new age. i'll be going back when i'm in the area.haze999 -

TODAY WAS OUR 1ST TIME GOING HERE AND THEY REALLY MET AND WENT BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY FROM START TO FINISH, THEY TRY TO MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME. THEY PLUGGED US FOR BEING 1ST TIME PATIENTS, THEY HAD A HASH BAR GOING, FAT BLUNTS PASSIN AROUND AND YOU CAN MEDICATE. Horrid place...
the dispensary is for sure the worst customer service ive ever encountered, leaving me to wait 20 minutes in the same room some guy was getting a massage next to a old shower booth now converted to office? the whole place seemed grimy and the bud counter doesnt seem to even have a place to order without sitting down, when i was there it was full with a bunch of people who creeped me out smoking a joint. the clone section was a bunch of dying branches in jiffy cups! the top bud looked pretty yummy but i was creeped utt by this place so i dont plan to visit again.

I dont know about this place..
Dont get me wrong they had some good weed.....but it was way overpriced. I ended up just buying a half eight of thier all star sativa and some of their og hash. the hash was strait fire. i was really happy with the 2 viles for 25 deal. the sativa was nice but nothing speacial. they did however have some of the tastiest edibles. i just wasnt feeling the vibe so much i dont like the dark and gloomy spots. just my opinion.

Chill Ass Spot
personally, i really liked this clinic ! the staff was very helpful and the verification process was fast. everyone in the place was really nice, customers and bud tenders ! I've never been into a shop where they allow you to smoke inside and chill and it was really interesting to find a place like that. I liked this spot a lot, and definitely plan to go back sometime.

I Was at a convention a few weeks back in SF.. We decided to stay an extra day and hit some collectives on the east bay and San Jose Before returning home.
To start... We drove across the bay to hit Berkeley. Back in the late 80's, I'll say I spent some time up there. :-)
Man have thing's changed.
To start.. small dispensary, the staff weren't as friendly as I expected. Not rude... just there.
The selection was OK.. Lot of GH and outdoor looking. I mean for $60 an 1/8th PLUS TAX I expected straight FIRE nothing less. The entire experience was strange.
There's not the local selection we have down here with competition in this area.. That may explain a lot!

After a few visits... powder mildew!
I've visited this place a few times. Their wax is inconsistent in quality. I tried checking out an 1/8th of bud. It came in a single nug, which was promising, and said nug was stinky and covered in trichromes. When I broke it open, there was a good amount of powder mildew that clearly had infested the entire bud. It was visible with the naked eye. I haven't gone back there since.

If you live in the bay area trust me when I say; "You want to make a trip out to Forty(40) Acres Growers Collective in Berkeley", a dispensary where on site consumption is okay. So bring your bubb with you! I did!
40 Acres was very impressive starting with a journey up a staircase which is maybe not accessible for all patients but I am almost 100% positive that those patients who cant make it up the stairs have special delivery or something like that. Entry and membership are easy just bring your Ca drivers license and your current doctor recommendation an OCBC card will do. Everyone (the staff) @ 40 ACRES was friendly and up beat-Positive vibrations! The hours are great; Open early, closes late and even later on the weekends. The activities and events that 40 acres offers its members are unlike any other collective that I have belonged to. The Nursery was also unlike any I had seen(wow!)filled with many varieties at various stages of growth. I was pleased with the medicine I purchased from 40 Acres; James M. took good care of me...:)Prices were fair, and I can't wait for my next visit. Thanks!FOURTWENTYBUDS -

Lets see this week on the flowers side of things here @ 40 acres I tried the purple kryptonite, snowcap, and og jack herer. I was impressed with the quality. On the concentrates side of things really they are very are nice my favorite is the white rhino wax and the hash oil. It's seems to me to be a good value. You get what you pay for here. I can't say that for other medical dispensaries, as prices I find are often inflated. Thanks again -420buds

Jack Herer Wax *Fire
Bought some Jack wax this past week after trying to try it the previous week. One suggestion I do have for 40 acres is to update your board more frequent. I often notice that a budtender will note that a particular item is no longer available, and then instead of erasing that item or items off the board the budtender will simply leave that menu choice up. I'm not quite sure what the reason for this is. Additionally one more peeve for 40 acres. How come the nursery is only open on certian days i.e. whenever you feel like it. Personally when I am searching for where I am going to be loyal and take my business regarding marijuana and my medicine I make sure there is a consistency there. This is something that I feel is lacking at forty acres. Don't get me wrong I do love this place and would disregard the negative reviews as it's merely a difference of opinion. I like 40 acres as do many others. Sure a few don't like it and that's OK. The Jack wax was great. Reasonably priced and that first try honestly tasted like strawberries. I like that...Yummy, peace y'all.

Awesome dispensary
I've been to a couple dozen dispensaries but I think my trip to Forty Acres today was one of my favorites. Everyone was beyond friendly, I felt really welcome the whole time, and I got an amazing deal. I'm really excited to find this place and I will definitely be back.

Hardball
Picked up some hardball from from forty acres while I was at the cannabis cup. They had a cool deal where if you bought an 8th you got a shirt also. The hardball had nice round purple nugs with orange hairs. The smoke was a nice indica high with a sweet purple taste.

Amsterdam in the bay
I have been to many places in the bay and overseas and 40 is the only place that feels like Amsterdam! :-) The only difference is it is run by a group of black men instead of Europeans.. Which I LOVE.
Everytime I come in the DJ is.playing Rasta music (except on Fridays n Saturdays they play hip hop.since its ladies night- gifts for.women). Also i can't believe how late they stay open on the weekends... Such a blessing.
Whenever the club gets a new member everyone cheers and welcomes them. Undoubtably the most warm feeling walking into a dispensery..especally compared to their competition where you feel like your in line at the bank or something.
Bud tenders are patient especially the woman there on Fridays. She doesn't rush you as you check out all the bud you want. (Thank goodness because i am very. Indecisive ). The owners always say hello.
Free snacks are usually put out when I'm there... Like French pastries or cookies. I heard they were open on holidays too... Wow. They do so much for their members i can't see how they are making money. Not to mention i went home n weigh out my weed one time and my gram was 1.3 ! Anyone dissin this place is looking for a pharmacy setting with a non social atmosphere. You should experience yourself to form your own opinion, they are above the albatross.nickijane -

I love the bud from this spot. I stay coming back every week after doing some comparison shopping here on Weedmaps. The bud is always on point, straight fire if you get the all stars, which are a bit a pricey, but deff worth the price, because they usually joog you .2-.3 which is cool. =-3 i usually buy 2 half 1/8s and they straight joog me almost giving me 2 grams of each! I havent tried the concentrates or waxes or none of that, but i did have a hash caramel which is was on point. split it and got super affected both times. the atmosphere is a super chill, i like the bar type feel with the buds, then they have some couches and tables for you to sit at. but sometimes it takes awhile to get your buds because people have to choose what they want, and Ive always only seen one person working the tenders position at a time. deff my place to go for that fire, and its worth the price. wish it was a bit more modest, but still tasty buds, and chill peeps who come through to chill at 40 =-3

Friday's DJ
I had the good fortune of being @ forty acres yesterday on Friday. You see every Friday 40acres has a live DJ that fires up track after track on the ones and twos. Nice job! Some good chillin'& smokin' music, very good ambiance @ 40acres and in Berkeley in general for that matter. If you haven't been I encourage you to go to Berkeley and 40acres. Smokey!......

Great little Berkeley club
Went to Forty Acres for the first time on a Saturday night after hearing good things about it from friends. Plus, it was the only place nearby open on a Saturday at 9:30. Great atmosphere, really nice people. First club I've been to that's really a hang out spot, it was only about 15 minutes to closing and there were still people hanging around at the bar. Got a free edible, marshmallow strawberry crunch cereal bar, that looks a little strange but should hit alright (though I was told there's only about 15 mg in a dose, oh well). I just got a little of the Sweet Lemon OG, which was really nice and helped a lot with my pain. Unfortunately I think I mighta gotten a little overcharged, I think they may have only had the regular Lemon OG left and just charged me a couple bucks more for the Sweet, but it was still so good for $15/g I'm not upset. I definitely want to come back and check out the ladies night on...Fridays(?), the massage therapy they have on weekdays, check out the pipe selection, and just to meet some more cool people and get some more good bud. Certainly recommended.

40 Acres is a one of a kind...Kind bud dispensary shop. I wanted to mention that on Mondays and Wednesday there is free chair massage for all members who want it. The time this happens is between 12 - 4 pm m, and w. I had a great massage and would encourage all of you out there to take advantage of the services and benefits that different medical marijuana cooperatives and collectives offer to patients.

This place is like a home away from home
This place is great. Their staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. The prices could be better but what do you expect in Berkley. Its was hard to find for the first time, because its a door in a multistory building with no sings or any clues on how to find it. I actually had to ask a hobo to tell me which door to knock on. Over all its a cool club, with great people and awesome jams.

GET THE NIGHT TRAIN OIL!
This review is looooong overdue, i have been part of the FAMM since early february and I rarely seek out new clubs because they have everything i need here x10! lets take you step by step with the FAMM process. new patients, registering is a little long but they did not make it boring like other clubs do the guys there are excellent at making conversation. the door men are awesome. the budtenders are the best of any club i have been to. they love their bud, they know their bud, and if they don't know an answer to one of your questions they find out for you. everyone there makes you feel super welcome and relaxed. they ALWAYS have something going on weather it be purple heaven, massages on thursdays or LADIES NIGHT (one of my favorites) on fridays where ladies get a free gift just for showing up plus they have a d.j. and it is open till midnight! basically i can go on and on about how much i love forty acres, the people who work there, and the people who go there, but this review is for one of the budtenders there who makes the NIGHT TRAIN hash oil..... STRAIGHT AMAZEBALLZ!!!! i dont regularly smoke the concentrates but night train was offered to me one night while i was there smoking and it tasted SO DAMN GOOD it definitely changed my perspective on concentrates. normally they dont taste as good as bud does and i find it a pain in the ass to deal with sometimes but i would smoke night train allthetime! and honestly, it probably could sell for even higher than 40/g... cuz not only does it taste good, it's effective! love you forty acres! see you soon!

Was in 40 acres last week for the first time and it was one of the best experiences I've had yet at a dispensary/collective. The NIGHT TRAIN OIL is absolutely amazing! It has great taste and def gets you lit!! All the staff was very friendly and welcoming!! Can't wait to take other friends/patients to 40 acres! Definitely worth the trip from Napa! Be back soon :)

Excellent Security
Was in forty acres today and have to compliment the security guys. These guys are always here at the dispensary to ensure paitent safety. They do their jobs without being overly aggressive or controling. They got a good crew!

Pineapple Express
I like the recent changes I have been seeing at forty acres. The main new update that I've seen is the new extra menu board with tasting notes...This is pretty cool and is located right above the bud bar for me the more information regarding the plant the better. It can be real beneficial for individual patient needs...I like this. The Pineapple Express was looking pretty nice and chunky on Friday. Keep up the good trimmin' Bliss!

Very Nice Local Dispensary
This is a cool dispensary with friendly staff. I have been one time but will definitely be going back. They were very concerned with my comfortableness and were very hospitable. The bud selection was pretty good. The edible selection could use some work. I bought the All Star Purp Express which smokes like a champ.
After my purchase and my free pre-roll I was invited to chill in the smoking lounge and medicate or hang out for a while. Upon leaving I was asked if everything was satisfactory. I am happy with 40 Acres and glad they're in Berkeley,Jord -

Nice place, pretty knowledgeable staff, they have a smoking lounge.
All the weed was pre-bagged, which I don't like, but they did have a magnifying glass to check out the meds. They don't have any of the meds on display, so you had to ask for a pre-bagged amount of meds just to see them. I got a free edible as a FTP, ate it on the bus ride back home, felt nothing. A couple hours later, still nothing so i pulled out the stoney purple, got me to a pretty nice place after one bowl. So good meds, not that great on the free edible.Badname -

I really like 40 acres. It's honestly the ideal place to receive your medication. A+ on the atmosphere, staff, and bud selection. The Purple Express is DELICIOUS by the way

40 Acres is so much fun. The bud-tenders and the security are really friendly and will keep you laughing. The prices are awesome and the bud is superb even though the parking isn't the best I can't stop going to 40 Acres. I Love it there!

I love this place! Parking can be a handful(worth it), and as far as clubs with good prices and quality bud goes, this place is King! I love the fact that this club IS concerned with keeping their prices low so that patients can afford their meds, something to eat as well as gas to go find it! Just Lovely! Not to mention the friendliness of the bud tender, he always finds a way to leave me with a smiling face. Who are these people? I love them so much for opening shop so that I can have another wonderful alternative to BPG. Now I wish Ladies night had more Sade/Ledisi/El Debarge/Jill Scott playing so that I can come back and chill on Friday and Saturday late night and find some handsome guy to talk with( and get that Love Jones feeling), but whos complaining? first time
I came here last week with my boyfriend when we saw that Forty Acres was having a special where all eighths were $35(plus tax). We decided to take the drive since Berkeley is only 15-20 minutes away from Vallejo. When we got there there wasn't any parking so we had to go looking. I was able to park on a residential street around the corner. I was worried because it was pretty dark with dim lighting but had we had no troubles. We got in and our verification process took a little long but I guess the guy was having difficulty with my recommendation. Soon we were being led to the back room. Well, when the guy walked us in I had no idea he was about to announce to everyone our names and that we were new. Uh, it made us feel very awkward to have everyone turn around look at us. Yeah, I thought that was weird. But anyways the room is pretty small. We went on a Friday Night and there was a dj and hella people just chillin' and smokin'. The line to the budtender was prettttttty long (esp. since there was only one working). When we finally got there I felt very rushed knowing that more people were standing behind me waiting so I didn't really get to see everything I wanted to see "/ We just asked her what the best sativas were and got two eighths of those. They ended up being the Cherry AK and Sour SOUR diesel. She didn't even know we were new so I had to remind her and our free gift was 10 of these sativa pills. Well they sucked and I never felt anything...my least favorite newbie gift I've gotten. Anyway, we tried both of the strains when we got home and we really enjoyed both of them! The Sour had such a pungent sour smell. It tasted just how it smelled and it was very good! And the Cherry AK was some dank. Gave me an amazing high. Not sure if we'll be back anytime soon... maybe if they have another $35 special...oh and I only gave them 5 on price because ALL eighths were 35 when I went in. I'm not sure if I'd pay 60 for one....

An @ Home Feel
Made it into Forty Acres and am digging the @ home feel of this place. This is not my first or second visit...I have been coming in for a minute and appreciate everyone and there rolls at this spot. excellent quality at fair prices
Ok so I got to try this spot out today and must say that I was surprisingly impressed! What I appreciated the most about this place is that all the medicines are in jars and they weigh it out right in front of you, very legit. I went there during happy hour (4pm-6pm M-F) and picked up some West Coast Dawg, OG Kush, and Green Crack. Just smoked a bowl of the WC Dawg and and Im happily baked. I must say that the quality is very good for the price, especially if u can make it down there during HH. Looks like I'll be going back there again!

I have to say it again: I love this place! They truly care about the patients here. Not trying to bamboozle customers with the prices/bud quality, and they are always friendly. Always. For some of you people calling this place ghetto, I'll tell you ghetto: Ghetto is going to a club and being overcharged because they are all for profit, not for patient. Ghetto is a club that thrives off of selling cheap bud for expensive prices. Ghetto is a club with bud tenders who clearly have no interest in aquiring customer service skills. Top of the line at this place. I wish more dispensaries were like this one!
As far as ladies night goes, it is an awesome night. The bud tenders make sure to let you know how much you are appreciated. Smiles, and more smiles. Thank you forty acres for existing! I love you!Thegoodone -

hit or miss spot
Ok Im writing my 2nd review on this spot after coming back for the second time and was not a happy camper...the dude at the counter seemed shady, didnt even acknowlwdge my presence, was yapping with his boys or whoever. Finally I got sick of standing around so I just asked what the HH specials were and he gave me some BS response on a couple $10 grams they had. Point being, those that he mentioned were 10 a gram all day and not HH specials. Anyways, I just walked out after that without purchasing anything (first time for me at a club to do this). I had better service from the female person the first time I went...not sure if i'll be going back here because of this experience...

That prime time Purple Eclipse is the best purple I've had in my life! If I had smoked it the day before I would've forgot my birthday. Worth every penny. Sucks that they didn't have any clones but forget clones get some of that Purple Eclipse!

super slow service. registering was a breeze but there was only one tender who moved at a slow pace causing a line and for my friend to gdt a parking ticket when we were right out front.

Smoking Spot
Although Forty Acres may not be best suited for every cannabis patient, there are many who do utilize and benefit from this Berkeley Growers Collective. The staff is friendly and unique. Additionally the DeeJay and smoking bongs, joints, vapes, pipes in house are priceless. You should call Forty Acres Smokin' Chimney. If you choose not to smoke there are a variety of edibles available to sooth. Peace!

cool place i personally like the smoking lounge more than going for bud. but you can always find a good buy some stuff may be a lil overpriced. but the $15 blackberry kush hash was incredible. also has some of the coolest staff around worth a trip here

Fantastic atmosphere, learned budtenders, and smiles on everyone in there! I have been there a couple times now and I have had such great experiences everytime I go. I highly recommend 40 Acres!!
