Love this new dispensary!
Tried out this new shop on opening day and love the staff. Anthony and Julio are so awesome, I had to go back and see what was new. They have a $35 cap!!! Got some amazing purp indica for pain. It is the best I've tried yet. I have been a loyal patient of the dispensary up the street, but the $35 top shelf meds and the educational, informative advice from Anthony has inspired a switch. Stop in and say hi (sp?)

This place is the new spot in newport! if your looking for great weed for the most reasonably small price this is the spot! The budtenders were very helpful and i am definitely going to recommend this place to all my friends!

(Updated with most supporting statements removed)It is literally right at the end or the beginning of the 55 in Costa Mesa. Flowers look good, the staff is welcoming and with a $35 cap! I went here expecting to see mediocre medicine, with maybe one or two good ones I was wrong. Tons of room in the waiting room, it was a little trippy when I first walked in the door because their security guard had a badge, but he was chill! I will see you guys soon.

Pretty down spot...
First things first when you walk in there it doesnt exactly feel like a welcoming clinic yet, just a window and some security guy in full uniform looking like the police which is not chill to say the least. I have no problems with police in general but when you walk in he doesnt talk at all and just says "can i help you", i had to check to see if i was in the right place but i read the form layed out on the counter and it said nbmc so i was convinced and after talking to the guy and getting verified he seemed chill but only there to do his job and nothing more(i think you guys should get an actual security guard with experience in the mmj field)he held my rec and id until i left which was weird to me because im forgetful sometimes and was more worried about getting my rec and id then checking out all the flowers individually. So anyway i get to the back and meet (julio i think) and after checking out their top shelf flowers i grabbed the berry white and super venom og which are both pretty dank and the best looking and smelling flowers they had to offer(from what i saw),the only bad looking/smelling top shelf i saw was the moonwalker og in my opinion it just smelled like it wasnt flushed properly and kind of smells like hay, they did have other dank options to choose from though and who knows maybe that moonwalker is dank just not a looker or smeller.
Super Venom Og-danky,stinky,skunky,piney,frosty lime green nugs with little orangish reddish hairs all throughout it, the high kind of creeps on you then will have you just zoned out in whatever your doing, def a steal for 35 a eigth and i may be back for atleast a quarter so dont get it all weedmappers haha.
Berry White-SUPER FROSTY with a purpley smell with kind of a hashy vanilla taste its def some kind of blackberry cross of some kind, almost like a silverback guerilla with a less kushy taste still real good high its nice and long and will have you just watching the nba playoffs spacing out or munching out its good for sleep too cause im pretty tired now.
All in All pretty good spot you may want to check them out if your in the area, or out of the area shit, for a 5g eigth of top shelf your only paying 35 as a first timer which is the best ftp deal ive gotten yet.Keep up the good work and ill be back.Comments (0) -

I actually got lost trying to find this place and stopped at another collective and went to ask for help finding this place..... (What a story) ... So I find this place ... OK Mister Security Guard you do a great job and are very friendly. Made me feel at home and joked around.... For first time made me feel good and safe in Newport Beach... You are good......
Staff.... Well Must say SUPER FRIENDLY and Helpful.... I am not sure how to rate them other then very AWESOME and understanding ... They can be extremely patient with us ADHD types... I not sure how many questions I asked or how many times I called... To many I am sure yet they did not get mad or upset.... Just helped.... WOW Great place.... NOW IT IS NEW AND THEY FIXING IT UP... THEY GETTING OPEN ... So give them a MUST VISIT and I KNOW they going to do great and reward all those that TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO GO.... STAFF IS AWESOME.... And Security is great ....

Home away from H-town!
First off after looking at the clock and seeing that it was after 8pm last night.. as usual my hopes for finding a good dispesary in my area goes out the window....SO I THOUGHT!! Much to my suprise weed maps directs me directly to THE MOTHA F'N joint, Walked in to a very friendly security guard, then clicked right away with bud tenders, super friendly,down to earth, would of thought i'd known em for years! Meds were where its at though when it boils down to it, and they definately had that part taken care of for sure! After all i AM righting this See ya on the reg NP Medical Center.

Hey my fellow WeedMappers! Just checked out NBMC - Newport Blvd. Medical Center, yesterday the 23rd, and it was a great experience!
First off, I want to say I deducted a point for accessibility because it was a TINY bit tricky if you aren't familiar with the area(mainly because its a one-way road, and if you pass it, its kind of a pain to get to it.) Aside from that, this place is excellent!
With that said, this place is a $35 cap **WITH dank OGs** I got the Hawaiian OG & the Super Venom OG. I have to say the quality of both of these surpasses the $35 cap EASILY, I've been to at least 15-20 clinics and it is safe to say their $35 cap is on par with most places $45 cap. DO NOT LET THE LOW CAP FOOL YOU!! This place has amazing bud, with a fantastic selection to choose from. The Super Venom OG is a very strong OG with a wonderful piney smell and is coated with trichomes and looks like every other great top shelf OG Pheno you see out there now a days. The Hawaiian had a little bit more minty kind of smell and looked a little frostier. I definitely recommend the Super Venom OG as it is AMAZING quality for the asked donation.
As far as the atmosphere goes, I thought it was great, the security guard up front was very nice and friendly, some people get sketched out by security guards for some reason, maybe they feel that they aren't a legitimate patient or something, I have no clue, but I love the extra feeling of security and the safeness that a security guard provides at a dispensary.
The staff was super cool, the Security guard was actually the receptionist too when I went, and I met Lee?(sorry if I misspelled it!) and she was awesome! She was very patient with my indecisiveness and helped me get the best meds for me. I appreciate the warm welcome you guys provided!
The prices are unbeatable here, I think this is the very first 35 cap in Costa Mesa, and is definitely housing some good fire too. Not to mention first time patients get a 5.0 gram 8th!!! for a $35 cap dispensary to offer 5g to FTP is ridiculous! Honestly try these guys out, even if you are a FTP freebie searcher, this place will definitely surprise you as it has surprised me!
Check them out! They are bomb, and will hook you up with super good meds at the LOWEST donation.

I checked this place out a couple times since it opened last week and i was let down both times.. some of the indica strains thats displayed on here r not even in the shop the ones they do have r alright nothing to special, some buds r mixed like the evil bubba i picked up look like the kens gdp. budtender was stupid stoned he weighed my 1/8th @ 3.3 thought i was supposed to get 5g's homie?? to top it off there was a fat stem and shake in it WTF!!! little man is cool for the most part but is always confuzed with what he's doin and is always off with his prices too?? Get that ish situated stop confuzing us with ur prices on this menu and when we show up were expected to pay more.

Another great visit
At 35 an eighth you can't go wrong! Plus the quality is just as good as the places that charge $60 for the top shelf. And if you want to get as much as you can for as cheap as possible, I would recommend the Blu Dream for 160 oz.
I top favorites are
1. Super Venom OG - Amazing, one of the best tasting, smelling, burning, and strongest OGs I've had in a long time.
2. GDP - More purple than it is green! Great purple flavor and trimmed really well, burned to a white ash
3. Berry White - This stuff was covered in trichromes, looked as if it was dipped in sugar. A couple bowls of Berry and I was good for the night, with a nice case of the munchies.
4. Also I got Beyond Blue Dream for the next morning for before work and it was an uplifting, enjoyable experience, not too f'd up to go to work, but just the right amount to put me in a great mood.
The combo of the three was very relaxing, took away all my anxiety, and enticed my appetite. (All of wich I was looking for that night)
So thank you for the recommendation, you chose the exactly the right meds to cure what was bothering me. Made my night awesome!

cant beat it
so i came into this place with not the highest of expectations knowing they cap at $35 and most of the time $35 isnt going to get you the highest quality but they were offering 5 gram 8ths for 1st time patient so i figure $35 for 5gs even if its not the best quality still a good deal. place was easy to find. walked in took about 10 minutes to get verified and let into the back room. upon entry i was pleasantly surprised. the shelves were stocked with some beautiful looking flowers. the budtendor let me the know the left side was indica, middle was sativa, and right side was some of their favorite strains. i started to check out some of their favorite strains while she made a quick phone call to a fellow employee who seemed to be running a little late. i decided to split the 5 grams into 2.5 of their berry white and 2.5 of their purple bubba. the berry white was beautiful but did not have too much of a smell. half of the purple bubba was some very nice looking nugs but half of it looked and smelled alot different. i know sometimes nugs of the same plant come out more purple then others but these look like two completely different strains. either way i was very satisfied with all of the meds i received both were super stoney indices that put me right to sleep. the budtendor was very nice and easy going. i will definately return to this spot for the $35 cap of top shelf meds.

Having second thoughts...
I went here yesterday and got some medicine it is not bad. It is spacious. Staff is very nice to me. Easy to get to for me. Cheap. I think they had 1 new strain in within the last week, they don't get a new one everyday. I sent my neighbors here and was disappointed on how they were treated so we spoke about that. I am hoping they follow through on what they said they would do. Let ya know soon!

For the Rookies.
What can I say.. it was either gonna be a hit or miss.. 35 cap 5G's f.t. deal.
It was a risk I was willing to gamble on..
First off the place was easy enough to find.. took the 55 freeway to the end and busted a bxtch :) on 17th or 19th st, first st available to bust a U when the free way ends.. There I met my destination.
Walked in to a huge empty room, the place is fairly new though.
Security sat behind the check in window, budtender had his lil desk and laptop set up inside the waiting room. bathroom in the corner.. Everyone welcomed us. No bad vibes what so ever. Paper work/verification was standard and speedy.
The budtender than escorts us to the budroom.. another spacious HUGE room that Was once an warehouse/auto type garage.. high ceilings, a warehouse garage door. The Display counters lined up. STOCKED with jars.. Now just b.c. you see alot of jars doesn't necessarily mean its a good sign.
The Indica quality was lacking bad, At least from the start the B.t. was kind enough to inform us this IS NOT the sticky OG top shelf! Witch I wasn’t expecting, but I’ve seen BETTER for 35$ IMO.
.. alotta mis labeled strains.. I seen alot of outdoor, leafy, low quality meds. IMO. Not completely swag. But by far not the best. Idk maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough?.. But I sure didn’t see anything spectacular!.
The Sativas i remember where alot better (not all of them)..But few are "proper" and something worth while..
A lot of stress type weed over all.. More bad than the good.
We ended up with one 8th split between the BERRYWHITE witch they have labeled pure indica.. Witch its NOT. I looked this strain up some and its categorized more in the Hybrid/sativa.. IMO, there smoked like a sativa. And not a very good one, kinda harsh, leaves a bit of headache .. The thing that caught my eye about it was that is was very white and frosted, one of the best looking ones they had on there indica side, Doesn’t smell or taste very good. Weak high.
My other half was the BEYOND BLUEDREAM.. Witch I can say was pretty excellent! Sweet, Slightly skunky smell, Nice taste. Sparkles. The typical blue dream appearance. fresher buds. Boom boom POW. Amazing sativa high. Heavy sativa with a bit of a sedative kick to it.. This hit me harder than the berry white, lasted longer, and was 100% over all a better high… Two thumbs up for this Beyond bluedream!, and another two thumbs up for it being 35$! ;)
This place is an excellent 35$ cap for sativas! They carry the BHANG bars too, witch probably over power more than half there selections on herbals..
I don’t mean to BASH. Im just speaking my opinion. :)
With out a doubt these guys are cool as hell though!, HONEST, and very compassionate.. The only thing they need to work on is QUALITY.. Witch IS one of the main things. But capped at 35, you really cant expect to much. It is what it is, and there are a lot of people who don’t need the extreme top shelf fire. And this place would work just fine for them.. If im on a tight budget and in need for some sativa than I can for sure see myself stopping in again. BUT I always need my BOMB FIRE indicas!! ;)
So I hope u guys STEP it up! So much potential here! I can smell it in the air! Success! Even a 40-45 cap would still be awesome! Better quality’s a must in this medical marijuana generation! The price is where its at. This place has ideal prices for weed but thats about it.
Staff was a little out of it. Bud was kinda tricky. It smelled good with a good high but its deceiving, i got 5 grams and smoked half it in one day. Im not a huge smoker either, this weeds dry and airy.

one of usual clinics was closed, so i browsed thru my bookmarks and decided to check out this one. they removed their bud selection off menu so i pretty much went in there not knowing what to expect. this clinic is right past 1914 on the right and great parking. walkd in to security that looked like a cop.. did a double take to make sure this was the right place. got verified, and sent back. this place has soo much space they could easily put like a smoking lounge or something. they had alot of bud to choose from, but since they were a 35 cap i just asked straight up whats the fire indica and sativa. staff was veru friendly and honest, hooked me up with 5g split of darth vader and beyond blur dream! both smell and look dank, although i swear i saw seeds in the jar...guess ill find out soon ha. overall a must check out, and no doubt ill find my way back here again! great location, staff, and PRICES!! keep it up boys...and maybe get rid of must of that outdoor stuff...unless its selling

Great but rubbed the wrong way .... twice
I have been a loyal patient since Euclid in Garden Grove...
Came into the price is right with a FOUR OZ donation my first time and did not receive a "free half 1/2" ...
Then when I came to this place for the first time (today) I got another four ounce donation and still did not receive a free half ounce, so I have got 8 total from these guys and nada on the freebee outdoor like I heard people talking about. Do I have to remind the staff? Do I need to get less bud from you guys? I will still come back because I love the prices for pretty bomb indoor strains like the GDP's , Blackberrys, Blue dream, bubba's etc etc All fire for a good price, I was just rubbed the wrong way...

No clue what some people are saying on here.
I personally have been to both the price is right and nbmc, and I must say, after reviewing 20+ dispensaries I can safely say you get the best bang for your buck here. The selection they have is so wide, and there are a lot of good strains. I don't think anyone can name a $35 cap place(with a huge volume discount too) that can compete with this quality. Sure you can argue the bud quality isn't as good as some other places that have like $50 cap or maybe a good $45 cap... but still, for what it is, its AMAZING. I've never been done wrong by either NBMC nor Price is Right, and I can say I'm a proud returning patient, because they provide a vast array of buds at an incredibly low price. Do yourself a favor and check them out because its definitely worth it.
and if you are having trouble finding some good strains there, I'll name all the strains I've tried, which were all great, and I've yet to be disappointed.

Super Venom OG
I just got home with my Super Venom OG and I gotta say, it is some of the best OG I've gotten lately, AND its not even on this menu. I guess they just got it in, but it def won't last long, I could tell it was a fresh batch.
I just wanted to let everyone who plans on going there in the near future to ask about it cause its one of those "off the menu" specials that need to be smoked.
This stuff is so good. I also got an eighth of Platinum Bubba which was also very good. Huge dense nugs with a purple tingle and earthy smell. The smoke is really smooth leaving a nice white ash behind. Well trimmed and cured.
This clinic always has a huge selection, but still takes in a few new strains every few days so there's always something new I haven't tried yet. Thanks again for all your great service and quality affordable meds, your local patients really appreciate it.2Stoned -
Awesome Flower at Awesome Prices
Best flower around at the best prices. i have been here a few times now and have yet to leave disappointed. I got the Darth Vader the first time i went. Hard to find in alot of places. i swear that s**t had me thinking I was in a galaxy far far away battling wookies (or munchies). Stopped by here on Sunday also, and got some Darth Vader it was pretty good, the staff is super friendly and welcoming though. They really do make you feel comfortable, and are happy to show you whatever you wold like to see. Super convenient to get to also!

More BANG for my BUCK!
NBMC is really something else! I came in as a first time patient and it was pleasantly surprising. It was easy to get there, they were right at the end of the freeway. I trekked there from Ontario and it was well worth it...
Getting signed in was a breeze, there was a group that came in together ahead of me and the security guard got everyone checked in super fast. He was ubber friendly and professional. Once I got to the back the bud tender who helped me was just as chill. She was a real sweetheart! I can be a bit scatter brained once I get into a dispensary, (its more like my ADD kicks into over drive) and I like to look at everything and ask questions, and she was very helpful and knowledgeable and didn't rush me or anything. She let me look at nearly everything I think and was pretty cool about it! I would seriously give them a 10 for staff if it were possible because they were honestly on game.
The prices were something else too, a $35 CAP what the hell! All the nugs in every price range were decent, but the bulk prices were seriously out of this world! Then add the 1st time deal when u buy an O is bananas!!! I highly recommend checking this place out!jessiferdoll -

This place is WACK
Wow all there "top shelf" has the same terrible smell. There OG's are a joke and definitely not OGS! The jupiter is horrendous compared to the jupiter ive gotten at other clubs. There "kushes" have no taste or smell, the flowers do look nice but have no smell or taste to them!!! i checked out a lot of them and they all smelled like nothing! There lower end strains smell like dirt and are shakey. The asian lady is cute but seems to be retarded or something? who knows, security guard is cool the paperwork you fill out tries to make you sign yourself to be a witness incase they get busted... pretty sketchy watch out for that. i left with some very subpar medicine no where near top shelf. nice try guys ill be taking my business elsewhere.

Tasty Headband OG...mmm
Headband OG isn't as frosty as some of their other flowers, but tasty and relaxing. I really enjoyed the duel effects of headache relief and attitude adjustment. :)
The prices are hard to beat here. They use to have a $35 donation cap, but now it is a $35 donation cap....except for some. Hmmmmm.....Either way, tough to beat the prices and location for me.Green2Smoke -
Hawaiian Cheeeeeeeesse!
Thanks to our sweet bud tender today,my husband and I tried Hawaiian Cheese. You will feel this frosty nug on the first hit. Strong head change right away. This is an amazing flower.....I think there might be a midget sitting on my eyelids. :)

Great Value in OC
NBMC is a great spot if you're looking for low cost yet quality bud in the Newport/Costa Mesa area. I've been here twice and tried a few different strains. The Beyond Blue Dream was a nice, relaxing smoke. Picked up Headband OG and Earth OG on my second trip. Liked the heady, alert high of the Headband and the Earth put me to sleep.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. They definitely helped steer me in the direction of some good stuff. Ample and well-lit parking, long hours, central location, and fantastic prices. You should definitely check it out.jdean -

I went into this place with the intention of taking advantage of their FTP deal, I was surprised of the quality they were practically giving away. From top to bottom it's all good! The top shelf jars are a thing of beauty. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. I would recommend this place to everyone.

GREAT oz prices!!!
Went in about a week and a half ago. Bought 2 OZs, that they let me split into 4 different types of MMJ. LOVE THAT! I didn’t get a 1/2 OZ free but prices were still very worth it!! Definitely will go back and tell my friends about this place. Everyone was very helpful and attentive to my needs!!! Even the $140 OZs are worth the price.

Best Prices in Area
I've visited most of the other dispensaries around the area, and NBMC has become my top dispensary.
I visited today, and did their free half oz deal for new patients. I left with way more and better quality bud than I have gotten anywhere else in town.
Their Beyond Blue Dream looked exactly like some Blue Dream I found elsewhere, only it was $15 cheaper here.
I had no issues with security, even though I only had my wallet-sized recommendation on me. The budtenders were extremely attentive and helpful.
Their XXX Gods Gift was $35 an eighth and so sticky it stuck to itself. I was impressed and got some :)Zohan -

Went to NBMC for the 1st time and looks like this place is AWESOME!!! Even Mark the Security guard was Kewl, and the Jennifer the Budtress was grate. Took the time to listen to my gripes of another dispensary and she made me forget of that other place, and there 1st time hook up is beyond any other type of FTP appreciation I have ever seen. this place is so welcoming. i wish i still lived in costa mesa. this would be my only spot. when buying in bulk i always spend the gas money to get over there because its cheaper in the end, the quality of the bud for the price is too hard to pass up, and the employees there are so cool! i got to meet the owner and he was a really cool dude. his previous club was doing the free half ounce deal with an ounce donation, but they were shut down. when i came across the menu for NBMC, i noticed it was identical to the last club i went to and they also offered the free half ounce. plus the same employees and owner. the owner knew i already got hooked up a free half ounce at the last clinic, but he was cool enough to give me ANOTHER free half ounce. so basically this dude just handed me a free ounce. how awesome! the quality of the bud that i paid for was superb. the quality of the free weed was better than ive paid for at clinics in my area. TRUST ME, IF YOURE PLANNING ON GETTING AN OUNCE OR MORE, THIS IS THE PLACE!!! NO MATTER WHAT YOUR LOCATION!! and if youre in the Costa Mesa area, i recommend this place to you for any purchases. 10 stars, 3 thumbs up. this is the spot to be at.

If you are looking for cheap top shelf eighths then this is it for you!! Been visiting here a few times since they opened. They have AWESOME PARKING!! Really cool security guards, not sketchy at all or power trippers! The staff have been pretty cool to me and my fellow patient friends. The skinny asian female budtender hooks it up!! I refer people all the time and she throws in a free joint everytime I go! The 35$ eighths are DANK!They also have low grade cannabis for cheap! My friend picks up half ounces and ounces from these guys all the time, they have the best prices for top shelf! 130$ half ounces of top shelf! Also they have dank 10-15$ grams. One thing that is a let down, not much of any edible selection or anything else for that matter, just buds. But this is by far one of the best spots in costa mesa to get cheap dank meds! CHECK IT OUT

My new favorite "regular" spot, this dispensary has it all. I visited a while ago, but had trouble finding the page for this dispensary until now (glad I did, I was scared I had lost the address)
Picked up an OZ of Beyond Blue [Something]*. There was confusion over whether it was Beyond Blue Crack or Beyond Blue Dream, and I could not for the life of me figure out what they were trying to explain. Little bit of a hiccup there.
BUT IT DIDN'T MATTER. The whole OZ was $210. And it was excellent. I'd call it high middle shelf. It was not as well trimmed or good looking as I would like - the buds were small, and there were a few protruding stems. I think the budtender knew this and she actively removed stems for me as she weighed it out. Still, there was a bit of picking out stems from the product when I got home and after it was broken up. I gave the bud quality a 5/5 anyway, because it smoked well and got me to a good level, all for a low, low donation.
Also, I picked up an eighth of Jupiter OG at the budtender's suggestion, for $40. It wasn't on the menu. I am not sure if this is sativa, indica, or hybrid, because it was a rollercoaster of effects. Very strong and interesting. Started with a crazy sativa high, which had me going "WTF? I thought this was an OG". Half an hour later, I had to drag my body to bed because I was feeling so heavy! So yes, very nice, very nice.
As a FTPD, I got a 1/2 OZ of Alaskan Thunderfuck, which was $140/OZ ($5/gram!!). You would think that this is total schwag, but it was decent. I would call it middle shelf to lower-middle shelf. It was on the dry and hard side, but nevertheless, I was impressed by the smoke.
One thing that bugs me about their WeedMaps menu is that the strain types (Indica, Sativa, Hybrid) are not listed on the menu! It would help patients a lot, so I highly suggest you do that, if you're reading this review...
So, my first visit, and I had the unique opportunity to sample their lows, mids, and highs, and I have to tell you, it's all good!!
Budtenders are also friendly and patient! I had Lee, which someone below me mentioned as "the skinny asian chick" (LOL) She's awesome. And cute.
I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. You guys are kind of far, but I will gladly do the drive - the prices on OZs make it worth it. PLEASE DON'T INCREASE PRICES EVER. You'll see me again, but probably not for a while, as I have 1.625 OZ from my first visit.

1st time in and gotta say the check in was fast and easy. The security guard was polite and responsive. Once inside the back room you find a very spacious area with plenty of medication. The quality ranges from eh!!! to GREAT, you just need to spend time looking and smelling the product before your eyes. The staff was quiet but helpful. I must say the little Asian lady that assisted us was super cute. I really like how she took time to break off stem from our medicine cause the last thing anyone wants is a bag of stems. The qp we got was great midshelf meds. We split the Grapefruit Kush and the Bullrider. The Bullrider was my favorite but the Grapefruit has a real fruit taste and smell. The high associated with the herb comes on quick and painless( NO CHOKING ). For the donation amount asked the medicine was better than we expected. The Bullrider has an almost immediate upper buzz str8 to the face. I liked it a lot. After deciding on a qp I looked into splitting an 8th..5 gs for 1st time gotta love it. I was just going to get the Obama but the budtender asked if I wanted to split them so I said, "sure, why not." So i decided to split it with the BERRY WHITE due to the frosty nature of the medicine. Just as I suspected the medicine was great for night time relaxation...PUT ME TO SLEEP!

Everything about this place is great and convenient. Its quick and simple with a huge selection. And I'm thankful that there's a place that charges only $35 1/8, every surrounding area seems to be $60-65. The service is friendly and knows about the actual medicines displayed. Well being that I normally grow, I am quite familiar with top shelf. They have some excellent strains in the top shelf category. Prices are much better than most places as I have gone to Reseda and SFV before but they'll gouge ya pocket now!! I wanted to get Plat. Herijuana but all out (sad face), I picked up Obama OG. Good choice!! There are too many creative names iyam, but the product is excellent! I also received the extra 1/2 oz (Sticky Sour Diesel!) which I don't believe anyone is doing these days. Thumbs up!! However I tried your number and it came back disconnected (06/05/2011) I hope you are still there!! Peace Badmf I will keep checking and visit you aagin real soon!! im not the type to write a review about anything or write at all,i tried out this new club because its so close to where i live and i heard they had 35 8ths top so i had to see whats up with there strains.there location is clean and a walk in park for me. so once in there did my new patient process quick and simple nice...so long story short the people working there where all humble and seemed to know what they where doing.i picked up some headband og smelled og and looked great like that dank shit that leaves u brain dead for a good hour or more yeah........ i smoked it when i got off from one of those!days at work. stressed out mad and anxious. i packed a solid bowl.lmao i was on a good one all my problems went away as i got closer to 3rd bowl ha stress free it put me a step back from when all my problems began and let me approach em from another point of view this marijuana got its job done just thought i share it with y'all they got they got what u need to but your restless mind to ease if your reading this. peace.

Well I am editing my original review which was a very good review, but now with the change in management is not deserved. These guys had the nerve to delete my review of there club because they didn't like the honesty I had to deliver.... I am simply reporting what I experienced with no bias...you should be ashamed!
For one, spending more than 15 minutes with nobody in front of you to get registered is just plain horrible service. And not only that, what about my registration just a month ago that I filled out with the old management, what happened to my paperwork???? So now, I take a buddy here for his first time, over 15 mins going by while the cute girl at the counter was learning how to do her job.... I understand having to learn a new job, but don't do it at the time expense of your customers....
So 15 mins later, we finally get in the bud room. Lots of selection to look at however I would estimate that 90% of what I looked at, smelled was not cured right or just quick dried and sold with no curing... My buddy came in for the free 1/2 oz deal which a few weeks before I had a choice of what I could recieve for the free 1/2, NOT ANYMORE.!!! the only free 1/2 oz was some outdoor shwag that smelled and tasted horrible. My buddy even offered to pay the difference to get somthing a little better but they said, "this is the freebee that is listed in our computers" we cant change that....BS!!!
For refering a new patient, there website clearly advertised that I should receive 2 pre rolls and when I asked what the deal was, they budtender told me he would throw me a pre roll. we had to correct him of what he advertised on the site...man its not rocket science...know your product and service!!!
So anyways after spending another 10 mins smelling tons of jars of booty herbals...finally my buddy decided on a few types that smelled decent. Well now while ringing him up, the employees didn't know how to work the computers and another 10 minutes goes by on there unprofessional expense........ So total time wasted because of unprofessional or untrained staff...25+ mins... Finally one of the staff said, lets just fix it later and get these guys rung up..."wow a light from the heavens shines down"....lol.... duhhhh
Overall if you are looking to waste your time, smell a bunch of poor quality meds and end up being dissapointed, you are in the right spot! If you are looking for cheep buds, there are much better local spots within 5 mins...Its a shame that the management changed because my 5 star rating just went down quite a bit...great job guys!!icemud -

Was twisted on some Ultimate Marilyn Jane so stopped by for some Green Crack to balance me out. Sure did the trick. Excellent taste and high energy. Green Crack is one of my favorite strains and this one is a steal for $35.00 1/8.

I first came to NBMC about 2 weeks ago--good experience; actually received the free half OZ. Today we had to wait about a hour for the guy to go buy ink for the printer so that we could fill out the forms. After all that, they only give a free 8th for the first time deal? Come on now, Ive pumped this place up to SOOO many people & this happens? This Diamond Skunk ($225) is no where near as dank as my Pineapple Goo($160) was. Not sure if I should waste gas coming from Long Beach again!

I've really come to like NBMC
I've gone here 5 times now and really am happy with them. Their bud selection is excellent, my favorites strains tend to be head band and blue dream and their versions are as excellent as any I've found. Dense nugs!
BTs are very helpful, and their prices CAN NOT BE BEAT.
If you don't live in Costa Meas, their location is by far the best in that town as it is just a quick u-turn at the first light at the end of the 55, and getting back on the 55 couldn't be easier!
My only complaint is the hideous lemon yellow paint that their waiting rooms walls are painted has got to go! :)
A suggestion... please keep your Weed Maps listing up-to-date with what you have in stock... it really gets my taste buds going when I can read about what I'm going to see and it is disappointing when you are out of stock on something the listing says you have... thanks.

The sign in process took no time, and I was back looking at the meds. I was expecting to see nothing but low grade buds, but to my suprise I was greeted with some really nice looking meds. The bud tender was very nice and informative, and I ended up going with an 1/8th of Berry White, 1g of Green Crack and 1g of Blue Headband.

I went in expecting to get a hooked up deal by buying an ounce. Boy was I wrong. I bought a whole ounce and only got a gram, not even of my choice. I had called earlier that same day, maybe about 10 minutes before I got there to see if they had the strain that I wanted to buy that I saw online and they said they had plenty of it so to "Come on by". So I did, and when I got there, they had none of it! So i opted to get something different expecting a free half ounce, but yet again, I was disappointed to find out that I only got a gram, not an 1/8th or a half ounce as advertised, but a fucken GRAM! Fuck that! I won't refer people anymore, after I had referred at least 5 or 6 people. I won't even step foot in that place. All they do is rip you off! You can't get what you want I guess when you go there. Makes me want to go back out on the street and look for dealers who WILL hook it up.

Just recently visited this location with my husband, and to our surprise there is new management. We found them all to be very friendly and helpful. New manager was very friendly and experienced. Big thanks to the girls who helped us split our 1/8's so we could sample more strains....always appreciated :)

Too Many Changes
So it has been a minute since ive been back but when your a month or two old dispensary and you go through three or four different managements/owners already its somewhat of a sign of how little these people know about mmj patients and their needs. I originally came in way back when they first opened and thought it was cool they were connected with euclid medical center but the vibes were a little weird from the fake rent a cop in the front who will have you thinking twice if your in the right place, to the owner/manager herself li, they are all a little out there to me but i wasnt there to find life long friends i was there to get good medication at a affordable price and my 1st visit they offered that somewhat with the super venom og and berry white. However after that visit it has been an ongoing changing of owners changing of caps and changing of ftpd and it is so unprofessional to say the least. They have gone from a 35cap to 50cap and from what ive seen and sampled the 50 cap flowers they have now is about the same quality as when they opened with a 35cap. All their strains ive tried packed very little punch with it and left me wanting more actual dank. I also just cant stand the false advertising these guys do "BEST OZ AND QP DONATIONS" well look around people 325 a zip especially of the quality their pushing is average at best. I usually leave reviews with atleast some constructive criticism but honestly I have seen the real reviewers on here who leave them reviews with constructive criticism and their response is always the same bs acting as if they are better than they really are. So I'll just say theres better places out there and to NMBC hopefully you guys are better then my last visit a week and a half ago.

worst customer service ever
This place was great before new management took over. My first visit under new management ended with me having to drive back home to get my rec (old mgmt didn't require proof of rec), but when my bro went in a few hours later, they just let him in without proof of rec..??? Kinda retarded, but these guys are new so I gave em the benefit of the doubt. Ooops.
So i went back the other day to see if 1/8th were still $35-$40 and they were. I picked up some Mango OG and when i got home I noticed there were brown leaves inside the nug. I just picked around it and threw out the nasty stuff. When i smoked at night though the med did not sit well with me. I got a light headache and something i guess i would describe as flop sweat (never had it before) . No biggie i thought, I'll try it tomorrow and if I get the same result I 'll go back to my "pharmacy" and they will make it right.
When I walked in a couple days later I thought i heard some people in the main area and I didn't want to make a stink in front of other customers so I told the guy at the check-in my issue. He was sympathetic and called over some girl to take a look. This is where they went from a business trying to satisfy their customer to acting like a madoff protoge.
Basically the girl tells me that the brown leaf is just nug that was too close to the light and it got burned. Did she offer to replace it? No. Did she say, we get our med's from high quality sources and this is not representative of our bud? Nooo. Did she say, ya i'm sorry, but this is $35 medication and under new mgmt $50 is what gets you top shelf? Nope. Was she sympathetic to the physical effects? Not at all. Basically she made me feel like a liar and when the guy had to convince her to go back and get a free pre-roll, I could see her in the back doing nothing and laughing with her friends about having a podrido flauta. The guy at the front sort of rolled his eyes and after he and I spoke for 5 min and she was nowhere to be found, i left.
She could have handled this a billion different ways. Instead she went into fight or flight mode and instead of working with me, suggesting ways to make it right, like by taking the medication back and replacing it, she acted like a million dollar bitch and decided she would rather fight with me. It seems that if i would have gone in more combative i would have been taken more seriously. But because I went in and quietly explained my issues, she thought she could handle me and get what she wanted (even though that was bad for business).
I certainly will never be back. In fact this is my first post on weedmaps b/c of the terrible customer service. These places are supposed to carry medication and when that medication is not up to snuff they treat you like you bought your med's in a street alley. At least in the street you could knock the dude out who tried to screw you over.
simple analogy: if you buy starbucks and you don't like your drink they will throw it out and replace it. Here she could have resold the medication so no loss on the p/l sheet. Instead she lost mine and my networks biz.

You should be ashamed of yourself deleting well deserved lower ratings, because that is the service and product you exemplify. Your meds are sub-par to most of the other local clubs, your staff is undertrained, and prices are higher than other clubs in the area that actually do have top shelf indoor meds....
If you are looking to pick up lower quality meds for cheap, this is your place...If you are looking for properly flushed, and cured top shelf...skip this place....

After dealing with that, I was allowed inside and helped by a budtender. Here is where my experience really turned bad. I'm a personal who does habitual things. Everytime I visit a dispensary, I hold the jar in my hand and view the product under or light or smell it. I guess this place had some problems with people stealing from the jars, therefore, the budtender was really paranoid when helping me. This made my experience really shitty. The budtender explained to me that people were stealing and he stated he didn't mean any offense. Well obviously, it doesn't really make it a comfortable situation after that. In addition, the bud tender kept forgetting I was valid for a new patient special and I had to keep reminding him what the amounts should weigh too (I asked for split eighths and with the new FTP deal, it should be 2.5 for each). When I get home, I was short.
I contacted the manager to explain my situation and they offered to make things right. I refused. As a consumer, we must realize that service shouldn't be something done correctly when you have to ask for it, it should be something that is provided to you since you spend your hard earned money on medication. I will not be visiting this place in the future. There are WAY better dispensaries in Orange County.illicitx -
New Management Sucks
They used to be better when it was not on new management. They changed into new management since a month ago or so, their service sucks now. It used to be the one dispensary in Newport but now, WORST!!
They computerize everything and they do not give you extra. More like they give you less for you paid for. This budtender tried to rip me off so he had to scale my med three times. I asked for 2.5g so he first put 2.4g then 2.5g after but no more than that. I bought an eight so I thought I will get around 3.5g but noo it was more like 3.2g first until I mentioned budtender to re-weight my meds.
Bud Quality: Lower than last management
Atmosphere: Man, service need improvement
Staff: um u should just go back to your box
Accessibility?: um.. I hate your step right when you go on the door.
Price: too over priced for certain meds.

great place to go when u need ur meds. i ran into this place on july 4th cuz they were the only clinic out of 5 to be open an im suprised ive never been here. i now only come to this shop. they have great prices and great strains. they dont talk and bullshit u they just show u wat they think is their best an they got ALOT of good weed. my favorite is their velvet frost. if u see this an ur going for ur first time that is ur indica strain. im gonna come in very soon just showin my respects before.#1 new clinic

Weed Maps comes through again!!
So I didn't even realize that this place was within walking distance of my house until I checked out Weed Maps. I checked it out just as they were changing up their management and all I can say is "WOW!" These guys hit the ground running and in my opinion have the best place in the Costa Mesa area right now. Their prices are incredible and the quality of the bud is excellent! They're location is perfect and parking is never an issue. I'd like to see them carry some more edible products that way this would be the only place I would ever need to go. Check em' out, you won't be disappointed!! See you at the Kush Expo!

Another Great Choice in the Newport/Costa Mesa Are
After a nearby collective was out of my desired bud, Strawberry Cough, I decided to give NBMC a try. Well, I am glad I did.
Located at the end of the 55 freeway, these guys have a convenient location. Except during traffic times, it is an easy run down the 55 to visit them. Unfortunately, I visited on a Friday at rush hour. I almost gave up and turned around, but I am glad I didn't.
This collective is located in a nondescript brown building. There is plenty of off street parking in their own lot. The bud room is large with high ceilings and walls with little or no decoration. However, the staff was really warm and friendly. Far from feeling rushed, I could have hung out with them for as long as I cared to. After my selection, I excused myself and Jumped back into traffic.
As I said, I came for a specific bud (strawberry cough) and I was not disappointed. Though not the dankest bud in stock, it hit the sweet spot for flavor and price. The 5 gram eighth was a nice little extra bonus.
Next I picked up some Banana Kush (OG?) for my nighttime nightcap. Another winner which does exactly what it claims to do.
Finally, I grabbed a nice concentrate to literally top it all off.
Oh can't forget the free pre-roll.

First time--last time!!
I don't like being bullshitted. Product is decent but no deals. I came in to buy an oz and asked about my free 1/2 z. They lead you to believe that you get your choice of the 1/2--instead they "give" you a 1/2 z sack of hay. When the "budtender" was weighing my purchases, he was literally pulling off leaves to make sure that I didn't get a flake over the 3.5. There are better choices in Costa Mesa for sure.

So... umm...
I came with my friend. We were both new patients and someone's referral to each other.
Neither of us received a free pre-roll for each other's referral (I'd expect just the one..?).
I was weighed the 5.0 grams on my 1/8th, thanks!
However, my buddy picked up an oz that was short by 8 grams and a half-oz whose weight was fine.
He seems happy enough with the quaLity that he's not complaining.
Parking is easy, location is right by the freeway - easy access to get back on the 55 north.
My friend might be back, but I don't think I will. While the strains I picked up were indeed powerful to an extent, I was also very skeptic of one of them because of how commercially fragrant it smelled. I also wasn't too happy about what I picked up because I had believed it was an Indica that didn't have very strong head-lock tones. Instead, I got a Sativa dominant hybrid.. :|bigdoghead -
Best Collective for Bulk Meds
Today, I went here for my 2nd time. I usually get qp's from this place due to the simple fact that they're one of the only places that have bulk discounts. Although, they aren't wholesale prices, way better than paying full retail price. However, you have to know bud and know what to look for because some are better than others and may be in the same price bracket. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that the free gifts and pre-rolls are complete crap. Also, one of my ounces of Headband was all small nugs plus over an 8th of shake. Great location.

This place has a mellow feel to it and the staff are really friendly.I got a 1/8th of Kush Berry and a free 1/8th of Deisel Jibs, both meds were good and priced accordingly.I'll be back to try some of the other strains that NBMC has that for sure.

2nd Time Around
This is the second time I've been to this place, however the first time I didn't leave a review because they had just come under new management and were still in disarray. I believed it would be unfair to leave a review at that time. Both times I went I was helped by Tink a cute blonde that knows her way around the Top Shelf.
First time in I picked up an Oz of Blueberry(a mild mid indica strain) and free 91K. The Blueberry not bad for the price, however the 91K leaves something to be desired.
Second time in I picked up a 1/2 of Strawberry Cough and 1/2 of Northern Lights*X Blueberry both smelled DANK and Tink was a big help as always. This place has a really kool atmosphere, Mike the guy running things when I was in the first time is one of the koolest laid back people around. Dark haired dude with glasses and tattoo girl I can't remember your names but you're chill too! All in all a great place for not only bulk but smaller amounts as well.
LKN2GOD RECOMMENDS: Northern Lights*X Blueberry and Strawberry Cough. Will be back to try the Bubble Berry, which caught my eye while Tink was weighing my Strawberry Cough.

1st Time was my SECOND time?
As I search on WeedMaps for a new and exciting collective to explore, I was attracted by this collective with a similar offer as another collective that I was previously at. At first instance,I thought it was a good thing that I saw the same bud tender at this collective as I did at the other collective. Even though I filled out my new patient paper work and went through the same process that everyone else did as a new patient, it was considered my second time because the budtender had seen me previously at a different location. Am I suppose to know which collectives are associated with one another? This being said, i was not able to receive my first time patient deal. Did not expect that to happen on my 40 min drive over there. But it was my first time to THIS specific collective and probably will be my last. Customer service means a lot more than price to me. But good luck to everyone else trying out this collective. Its a chill place, but like i said.... the budtender that served me up did not do it for me.

Great dispensary, great staff, and amazing meds
this place is amazing. the medicone is always top shelf, even for the middle shelf meds. the staff is always friendly, ive only been helped by Tink and she has always been a great help, not to mention shes a looker ;) her knowledge of the buds was great and she helped me out tpo choose the exact medicine for me. I chose the j-1 which tasted amazing and the wiz og, which was soooo good. definitely a great place and ill be returning most likely tomorrow.

Great Place They Fix Every Thing
so i go here yesterday after i see a coupon for a 6 gram 1/8th so i buy the $50 1/8th and they charge me $60 cuz tax she said, lol right $10 for tax
so i pay her and ask about Oz prices with tax she said i could've got a top shelf Oz & a half for $321 cuz the buy 2 get 1 free deal, so i try to return the 1/8 cuz i want the free half-O and she says she doesnt know how like realy no one can refund me i had not even picked the bag of meds up off the counter lol

I've been coming to this spot since they've began NEW management and I have been satisfied with Everything. Of coarse I can't always expect free stuff, (Not even from McDonalds), But when they do have something going on "6 Gram 1/8" sounds BEAUTIFUL. Im definitely confident that whenever I get any medication its well worth the price. When I'm LOW on funds They have what I need. When I DO have funds, They have what I need. When I need something late at last minute, NBMC is one of the ONLY places near by that are OPEN til 10p.m. (EVEN ON 4th OF JULY) when the staff should be at home with family, but instead are Helping out us patients. Good spot
Stopped by a few days ago but been too busy to leave a review, though this place definitely deserves a review.
Location was very easy to find, LOTS OF PARKING.
Waiting room is fairly big, with nice bleach paintings and comfy chairs.
Bud room is quite large also with 4 nice cabinets full of medicine.
whiteboards line the walls behind the cabinets filled with daily deals / specials and budtender recommendations.
Medicine selection was great, from top shelf down to budget shelf.
I picked up an 8th of the Purple Chemdog and as a first timer they gave me the 6gram special.
Quality is definitely there, some of the better meds i've gotten down here and all in all would DEFINITELY recommend going here.dankbowlshb -

Ive been around from bay to LA. and I gotta say OC has been slowly putting theirselves on the map. This spot would be one of the many. most places you have to pay quality for tiny quantities. vs this place where you meet both standards. the flowers arnt the most dense. but the way it smoked was smooth. I went with the miso horny,space queen and banana kush. smoked the miso horny so far and it is very relaxing. def gonna stop by here more when im on this side of town.

couldnt help myself to go and check out what they had, went in with my girl, got hookedup ONCE AGAIN, glad i got my usual bt. saw a girl chattin away eatin some food with some duude, not sure if other patients would be WTF'ed by that but it didnt bother me.

I wasn't overall impressed with the quality of this dispensary. I tried (3) different top shelf strains and it wasn't as potent or tasty as I'd hoped. I'm big on smell too. It wasn't as high of quality I expect from places in the surrounding area that offer it. For decent meds at ok donation prices its not a bad spot. I myself am a bit more picky so I don't think i'll be returning unfortunately.

Overall I was very pleased with my visit tonight. Easy to find its in its own simple building and they have a private lot for parking. I found the check in process to be quick and easy and my consultation with the bud tender to be very informative and helpful. My bt was also very knowledgeable, friendly yet professional and very patient. I was very pleased with the selection of hybrids, I liked being able to mix my 8th between shelves and strains, and I thought the quality was perfectly on par with the price if not better. I liked the effects of the meds and they were very true to taste and the flowers burn well with a good taste down to the last pass. Great burn. Everything lasts a long time and does not burn right up. I also liked the dispensary tour video the girls narrating are so professional sounding. Very cute. Update: did not seem to be as consistent with the quality/ service last time.

went in today as ftp, been wanting to check them out for a while, and I was in costa mesa already so I decided to stop by and im glad I did. location is really nice, its own building too which feels a lot more comfortable. security guard was cool, did paperwork, he gave me rundown on the card thing. budroom is big, very cool setup inside. I was on a budget so I ended up only looking at their lower shelf and edibles, I didnt wanna waste the bts time. I ended up getting purple acapulco at 25$ an 8th and a hubby bar for 14$ and for my first time I got 6 grams. so overall I was pretty satisfied, they have a good variety of shelfs so its affordable for everyone. Ill definitely be back for their top shelf. thanks for helping me out.

ok prices for the meds that they offer. Higher end strains are a no here for me. Staff is cool, easy place to find, meds needs to be better since most and either outdoor or greenhouse and lots of shakes in each jar. Great FTP deal though.

First Impression: Great
First time in today. Great place, lots of room. Tenders and Security were friendly. Liz was my tender, she knew a lot about the different strands available and even made good suggestions after I had explained what I liked. Ended up deciding on Redwood OG, which indeed is very hair. Nice dense buds that were exactly what I was looking for in a Hybrid strand, great recommendation. Also got to chose a clone as a first timer, 3 different strands to choose from. All 3 strands looked healthy, and the guy who helped me with that provided a handful of good instructions to getting the plant home safely. Overall great experience. Great selection with various price ranges and incomes. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

great location, terrible medication
Bud quality: Even with the 6g for 50 first time special, none of the 50/8th buds seems worthwhile. Charlie Sheen, described by the budtender as having a "deep og scent," had a faint OG scent with buds that were lacking severely in trichomes. Some pieces even had powder mildew - if not PM, it was some sort of fuzzy white powder stuck to the sugar leaf. The Madman OG did not resemble OG in any way. Space Queen looked decent but I wasn't looking for any sativa.
Atmosphere: It is quite roomy in there. Waiting room has lots of metal chairs. Standard bud room with display cases and jars.
Staff: Budtender was ok but seemed preoccupied with something else. Security guard was also the receptionist and he was not too friendly.
Accessibility: They definitely have a great location and a big parking lot.
Price: 50 doesn't sound outrageous, but the buds are really low quality. 14 for Hubby's what?!og-lu -

This place is really easy to find, really spacey, lots of buds the blue cheese was sooo bomb!!! i dont really like that they take out the nugs for you to look and smell, and the budtender kept taking out all the lil nugs, i wanted to see the BIG FAT nugs and really smell and look at what im going to purchase, anyways overall i rate this place a 4.5/5. will be coming back

I have stopped into this location a few times, but not for a while. It is super close to my pad and I noticed they had a special here on WM for 5g 1/8. They are right at the beginning of the 55 fwy, on newport blvd. So it's simple to get to. it's just set back a little off the street with plenty of parking out front.
Very spacious and air conditioned waiting room that I didn't even use because my check in was so quick! The girl that checked me in was very nice, and conversational. Then she invited me back to the bud room.
There were plenty of strains that were all labeled well. I was greeted by a bud tender who was inquisitive as to what I was looking for and gave his recommendation based upon what I told him, and he recommended the 2 that I would have chosen, actually the 2 I did choose lol. Mars OG and Skywalker OG. He gave a good description of both and even offered something with a lower price that smelled good, which I thought was cool.
Overall the flowers for the price I think is decent, the staff is cool people. I recommend checking them out.KrownedKing -

Let's get the negative out of way first; this place is easy to miss if it's your first time coming in. NBMCs on Newport Blvd where it runs alongside the 55N, so traffic is thick and quick right there. Their shops sign isn't super visible from the street. You may have to swoop around a block real quick if you miss it like I did the first(and second)time.
Okay, on to the shop itself. It's a clean building with a big waiting room. It's a nice waiting room, pleanty of chairs, AC, and even a TV on so you don't have to thumb thru magazines while you wait. Which I've only had to do once, and only for a quick 2 minutes. They have an armed guard WHO DOESN"T WEIRD YOU OUT(you know some of em do!)The check-in counter is right there also, a little vestibule filled with a nice person who signs you in quickly. After your initial visit you won't have to bring your rec back, just your ID, which is always nice.
Inside the bud-room are 3 or 4 huge glass display cases with labled jars, a fridge for edibles, a T5-lit shelf for clones, and enough cannabis to keep 39 Willie Nelsons and one RZA happy.
Onto product and price.
NBMC has an insanely large list of strains, from top-shelf OGs, to mids that POP, to stuff you've never heard of but want to try(Boba Feta! Think UK Cheese meets Blue Dream). Their top-shelf cap is $55. I've had some of their top-shelf OGs, which hit hard, will make your friends jealous, and has that earthy-dank goodness that you demand when you're paying $50 an 8th(remember, these are all 5 gram 8ths!).
I usually like to pick up a mid-grade 8th tho, $35-$45, this is the meat and potatoes of the NBMC menu, the mids. You're looking at at least 20 strains to pick from here, I like to take a few jars out for perusal. Good rock-hard nugs, solid trichrome formation, and KABAM! sharp skunk smell. You just have to whittle it down. I recommend the Red Tahoe OG or the Boba Feta.
But my usually MO is not balling or even buying mid-grade, I like to go cheap when times are rough, and this is another arena where NBMC shines, 3 or 4 strains under $140. For the cheaps, it's good stuff that hasn't been kiefed and actually has a dank smell to it, NOT THE SMELL OF HAY.
They have an above average smattering of edibles. I don't go in for edibles usually, prefer to make my own, but I've had some of their pretzel-brownie-mabobs and they were killer. It was like the exact opposite of a 5-hour energy, in a good way.
This place also has the best deal on clones you'll find around, even on Craigslist or Budtrader. Believe me, I have done exhausting research. $10 per clone usually BUT THEY HAVE BUY ONE GET ONE FREE ON CLONES. That's $5 a piece, which makes stocking my growroom's roster for next season a whole lot easier on the wallet. And they don't have strains like GrapeJuice-Wreck or WinnieThePooh-OG. They have real strains here: GreenCrack, BubbaKush, and PurpleDragon. All disease and bug free. Champion.
But here's the deal breaker for me on this place, and it's gonna sound cheesy. But the staff here really shines, and really makes this place a pleasure to visit. They work hard for you no matter what you're buying. And I like that. Every low ball ounce I've bought, dude has offered to remove all the stems from, and did. Once, I misread Weedmaps and thought I was entitled to a fatter deal than I got here, I WAS wrong and felt like an asshole when I looked it up on my phone, but they even threw me a free gram to curb my disappointment and were incredibly cool when they didn't have to be. Old Place - New People
I went in for the first time today to take advantage of the 7 gram 1/8th special. I am not one to go after first time specials because they usually are their namesake, in a bad way, "special". As usual I am getting ahead of myself.
The sign in was a little more then I am used to but all the same provisions. They verified quickly. The girl in the front was very nice and helpful.
The next step was the bud room. The set up was the same as it was with the last owners with one big difference - fire. I had a hard time deciding between the Fire OG and the WineHouse OG. I decided on the Fire because of the looks and the BT's recommendation. They did have concentrates but the type ofwas not looking for - flake. the only reason is because I love my skillet late night.
The flowers were good but the people were even better. I went in for the 7 gram special. At first they stated that I would not be able to get the special on that flower. Butter!!!
I have been in here a few times and I noticed last week they had some Dank Green colored Butter, so I came back picked up some of this Cutie's Butter and I must say I will be back in a few days to grab some more !!! Solid ass spot
I’ve been three times and felt the meds I received were fairly high quality and fairly priced. Budtenders had some solid suggestions and the place had an overall cool vibe. Got a KILLER deal on a 1/2 OZ and most def will be adding this spot to my "go to" list for sure...

WAS a great place, the employee's make it a great experience, the top shelf bud is super duper, the only reason i didn't give em a perfect score is they don't have 50.00 caps no more and no more 6g 1/8's, 5 g 1/8's, or 4 g1/8's for that mater and i used to go get an oz of top shelf and get an oz of the crap for free... don't forget why we all came to begin with when you start and buy and 1/8 of o.g for 50$ and come out with 6g's and amonth later it's 5...then four now you walk in and buy wack bubba for 50 and get 3.6 its like your being punished for being a LOYAL customer. I dont wanna go first time patient special hunting again because that's what 90% of the people i know do, but this is ridiculous!!! they have super product if you buy the top top shelf, not many good deals unless you wanna buy an ounce of leaves and stems for 80... was my go to spot for the best dank in the h.b area for the past six months... even the security guards give's me daps when i walked in... great place if you haven't been there for the first time special... after that now... i dunno if i'll grace the building again, i was driving from Huntington beach to Newport to hook up with em... not worth the drive for me anymore!

Cool back room
Place has lots of strains. Waited a bit cause they had some mix up when they opened. It was cool they gave me a free pre roll for waiting. Had a weedmap text for 7 gram ftp got an eighth of saturn and neptune og not bad at all for 50$. Pretty bomb I am used to stuff like their 55$ and eighth quality, but that could not be 7 for your first time. It's all good will be back when I am in the area. Peace!

Great first time patient deal!~
I arrived to the dispensary about 10 minutes to closing. I was in dyer need to up on my medication & read up on their FTP special (which I couldn't resist the "New Patient Special -get a Free gram, pre-roll and edible, select strains/edible, min $30 donation"). Figured that was a good start and surprisingly enlightened by the chill, friendly, smiling faces in front and in the back. The Blondie helping me was helpful & patient considering they had all their jars put away, however had the spice rack of samples out, everything from low to high grade buds. I didn't see a whole lot I was interested in, nonetheless, got an eighth of their ++goods Sour Kush for $50, which was a good stoney smoke, long lasting and flavor was on, they weighed it a 5g (score!). The edible, I chose "Dodo Samoa Cookie" and it was radical, very much like the girl scout cookies,, I was happy with it (not all into the edibles, but free, I likee :)) and got a good buzz on half. And for the pre-roll, it was solid, nice easy smoke and nothing to write home to daddy about , but it was nice flavor and decent body high. I walked out of there with a smile, must have rubbed off the staff....Thanks a latte and I'll be around again I'm sure, when I'm in town. Peeeeaaaace.

Newport Blvd. medical center is a real nice spot. All the people are so sweet and helpful! I had the sep. magazine of culture and I saw this clubs add and they had some coupons that had some vary generous offers that they were more than happy to give me. Earlier this week my husband and I visited the club for the first time and were greeted by two beautiful smiling faces, Monica and Steve. They were both very inviting and made us feel at ease...they also were very knowledgeable about the different strains they had, and also gave their recommendations and opinions as well which I really like to hear. We ended up picking Mastadon (which Monica recommended), Purple Wreck, Agent Orange OG, Purple Diesel, and some Big Bang Bubble Hash which were all amazing! We are so impressed with the quality that we are making another visit back tomorrow! This is a great club to be a member of!! I would absolutely love to work for you guys too!! Wink wink ;)

Won't be back
I'm extremely disappointed with NBMC and won't be back. I stopped in today with a coupon from the GangaGuide magazine for a 7 gram 1/8 for new patients. I was told once I provided the coupon that it wasn't honored on their top shelf meds ($55 1/8), but I could use it for any other selection (including the $50 1/8s). I told the BT that I don't medicate with anything other than the top shelf. He told me that he would give me a 5 gram 1/8 of their top shelf, but COULD NOT do the 7 gram special. This now annoys me even more after seeing on this menu they boast 4.5 gram 1/8s of all strains!! I understand there may be rules, but those rules should be conveyed on the coupon (they aren't). I would have never visited this collective had I known their restrictions.
OK, so after all this, I was ensured by the BT that many of their other meds were of the highest quality, so I decided to take a look. He pulled out the first jar, opened the top, tilted it forward towards me, and then pulled it away sharply when I reached for a bud!! He told me that I was absolutely not allowed to touch the meds...WTF?!?! I've NEVER seen this in another collective. Actually, it is normally the exact opposite, with lighted magnifying glasses to examine your meds before purchasing. I was never given an actual explanation, other than it is not allowed, "especially with everything going on right now".
So, I left my "frequent buyer" card, my new patient coupon, and my new patient ticket they gave me on the counter and left. I can tell you I will never be back, and I will never support them or recommend them. As for the review, I tried to be impartial. I didn't hold it against the BT, as I imagine it was a house rule he was following. The staff was friendly, the place was decent, but I can't give an accurate review on the Quality...it looked decent, from a distance!Countryhb -

Picked up a new sativa strain called "Strawberry Frost" and it is lovely! Packs a punch but has a clear heady high. Also, for visiting during happy hour we got a free pre roll. I'd have to say that this place is my fav!

Hoping For Treats and No Tricks
I love getting free reading material at collectives during my visits; it makes perfect restroom read. I always search the waiting room while filling out my paperwork for any of numerous medical cannabis and culture magazines, i.e. Reefer Reviews Magazine, Kush Magazine, Culture and the like. During my last visit to a collective in Garden Grove I picked up a new one, at least to me, named Ganja Guide Cannabis Magazine with some Hispanic chick in a bikini on the cover, cupping a handful of large Skywalker OG nugs from Newport Blvd Medical Center which was the issue’s featured strain. Inside, NBMC’s ad included a few coupons, one being a FTP 7 gram eighth on all strains which made my decision to visit NBMC next extremely easy being that it’s such a great deal.
I looked up their page to scope their menu and noticed that they hadn’t updated for about a week, which, always sucks, and gripes me considerably. I’m sure every patient would agree that updated menus are very important. Also, I read a few of their most recent reviews but nothing seemed really reliable or was truly informative. Actually, I did read a relatively negative review that mentioned the coupon I was planning on using but really, the review was more of a complaint. I guess when he attempted to use the coupon he was told that top shelf $55 strains were excluded which I thought was fucked up being that the coupon specifies “all strains.” Usually, collectives specify when they exclude “top shelf” or “private reserve” strains from certain specials and coupons. Nonetheless, being that they allowed you to choose from their $50 strains, according to this review, I decided to pay them a visit on Halloween hoping for treats and no tricks.
Location was easy to find, on the north-east block of Newport Blvd and 19th St off the 55 freeway more or less. NBMC is a large single building with plenty of parking. Their waiting room is relatively large and adorned with some dope paintings; a few by the same artist. After a few initials and signatures verification was complete and I was allowed back into the bud room. I was greeted by Tiffany; I believe was her name, who gave me a run down of the collective including their FTP deal. I informed her about my FTP 7 gram eighth on all strains coupon and purposely asked if it included their $55 strains. She checked with some dude, I’m guessing a manager, who said it would be ok. I was stoked, especially after having read the previously mention review; I'll reiterate, where an individual had been restricted to $50 shelf using the same coupon found in Ganja Guide. Bummer for that dude…
Sure enough, their menu was different than their listing on Weedmaps, after all, they hadn’t updated in a week. I asked to see their $55 dollar shelf and honestly, I expected a lot more quality for the donation amount. At $55 dollars an eighth I expect some, hands down, superbly dank, fire, connoisseur quality (or whatever else you’d like to call “kind”) flowers and unfortunately, at least at the time of my visit, I didn’t find their $55 dollar shelf to deliver. Overall, however, they did have some good quality flowers; it’s just that $55 for their top shelf I think is overpriced. Some of their more notable strains were Blue Headband, Kandy Kush OG, Mad Man OG, and Green Wreck to name a few. Unfortunately, they were at the very end of Skywalker OG which was the featured strain in Ganja Guide but obviously, looked nothing like the nugs pictured in the spread. Ms. Tiffany was very helpful and patient and never made me feel rushed at any time. After some long consideration I ended up splitting my 7 grams between Kandy Kush OG and Green Wreck. Because I used the coupon for my first visit I was informed by my bud tender that I could save my FTP deal for next time. I also received a pre-roll for Happy Hour. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my initial visit to Newport Blvd Medical Center. Their flowers are good quality and I was treated extremely well by staff. Thank you NBMC for the quality service and for honoring your 7 gram coupon on All strains. Definitely got me some treats!
Kandy Kush OG: Nicely structured, average sized, medium green flowers with a few sporadic dark leaves, short and thin bronze pistils, and a good coating of resin glands. Smell is strongly present but not overly pungent. Aroma is a mixture of earthy, fuely, piney, and lemony tones; very pleasant indeed. Vapor tastes very much like aroma and has decent expansion. Medicinal effects are relatively heavy providing a solid amount of pain and tension relieving properties; a solid nighttime strain without an extremely heavy couch-lock. Effects are a bit cerebral at first, but I find that to be the case with most OGs.
Green Wreck: These flowers are quite kind even though I think I could have received some nicer nugs. Flowers are medium green in color with light and dull bronze pistils and saturated with trichomes. Smell’s like dank Green Crack; incredibly floral, citrusy, and fruity with a touch of sweetness and skunk funkiness along with some strong piney accents and minute undertones of minty freshness in the end; wonderfully intoxicating. Taste matches aroma extremely well: sweet, sour, citrusy, fruity, piney, and funky. Flowers are well flushed and cured. Medicinal effects are cerebral, uplifting, focused, euphoric, and energetic making it perfect for daytime medicating. Actually, made me more reflective and introspective. It’s been a while since I’ve had a Green Crack cut and this particular example doesn’t disappoint; overall, a good Sativa.

ive been touring collectives all over the west coast and inland. the trees here are good. the one or two fire strains they have are good, and at 350 that normal. its not like their asking 450 plus like someohter wack ass shops. they do have alot of bunk trees for low budget people, or those types that either dont care about their tress or dont know any better. lets see trees, good, atmosphere, good. staff...well i dont wanna put anyone down, but the staff was like whatever, one girl was super sweet, so i have to mention her. another must have had something on her mind,...the boss seemed cool, but i could tell he was a cheap skate. he complained about a cheap 5 dollar pre-roll of their trash, even after i spent 1000 dollars on my first trip there!!! i mean for a ftp, you think a joint would be a small token of appreciation, especially since we all know the free joints are always pre-rolled garbage, ( i wouldnt smoke a house joint let alone buy one, i smoke kush bitch! LOL) but either way i pretty much told him he could stuff his joint up his...j/k but yeah im cool as fuck, so i was like im good on the 5 trash joint. and it mad him happy to keep it lol i got a kick out of it. but nevermind that, it just stood out in my mind, i mean, you wouldnt think they wouldnt be such tight asses but whatever. so i pretty much told him he could keep his joint...in a nice way of course. it just erked me the way he wanted 5 more bucks for it. 5 bucks after a $1,050 sale, but anyway, i was kool with the trees i had. i havnt been back since, cuz i saw that they took off the best deal they had, hence my statment on their cheapness. either way it a kool spot, i aint hating. but they would have me as a regular once they put the PATIENTS ahead of the sales. cuz i know alot of collects that are sweet spots, cuz they aint all about profits, nordo they see people as CUSTOMERS. were all patients right? mutual patients in need of our meds! (what the bloodclot?!) anyway hehe just a point to ponder. but yeah stop by if you can. as for the collective itself, work on customer service, you'll get what you want in the long run which is that boost in sales...PEACE

So, I've been coming here for a few months because they used to have some pretty awesome $35 1/8ths, but I'm starting to think that was just to get people in for the first months of their new management. Now, all of those strains are their top shelf and it isn't the best deal in town anymore. I made a point to check for coupons here because they tend to advertise a lot like that. I needed a 1/4 and I just happened to see that they were doing 5 gram 1/8ths so I was stoked because I figured I'd walk out with 10 Gs at a decent price. Well, turns out you can only get one of those, which is fine, just include it in the text at the top of your page. I wouldn't have written this review however if it wasn't for the way I was treated when I told them that I felt their advertising could use some work, because I don't know about you but my ability to read and comprehend fine print is sometimes lost when I'm medicated. So anyways, she proceeds to give me an attitude about it and goes on to say that I'm lucky she's allowing me to get my discount on my edibles in conjunction with the purchase of an 1/8th. Her better than thou, matter of fact attitude was definitely not appreciated. If it wasn't for the fact that her help had already packaged one of my purchases I would have walked out that moment. She then goes on to give her new patient speech to some new guy and I'm sure he was just as shocked with the she came across, totally in-genuine and very DMV like. So then, after waiting another 10 minutes while the other weed tender learned how to use his fancy new computer (which prints your name on your baggie,lame)the awkward silence was broken with incorrect total and the need to redo the math a third time. Finally glad to leave, had to trip over their doorway as usual, but made it home with some decent herbs and a couple hubby bars, which were stale because I really believe they are meant to be refrigerated to maintain maximum freshness, this coming from someone who eats 4 a week.. Whatever, I'm sick of even reliving this experience.
The straw that broke the camel's back was realizing at home that they got the last laugh by shorting me .3 LOL, Thanks guys!!

(Free gram, pre-roll, and edible) Everything is organized and they even have spice racks with different bud samples. best edible selection i've ever seen and the largest bud selection for sure.
