Sweet find!
On my way back from my usual N.Hwood spot (P&C), I spotted a dispensary I've never noticed before. I looked it up on online and not much came up except an outdated myspace profile. Their myspace mentions a $45 cap. I called them and it turns out the cap is now $50.
The collective is visible on Victory, but the parking lot and entrance is in the back in the alley. I rang the doorbell from outside and got buzzed into a tiny room with a window. The girl that helped me out was friendly. She took my rec and gave me the paperwork to take into the next room that had a couch. I gave her the paperwork, but I didn't get my rec back til I was on my way out.
Budroom was small, but the herb they had looked great! They have specials that you can read on a dry erase board along with all the other strains and prices they have. Their $45 ones looked awesome as well. They probably had four $50 ones - all looked amazing - and a few $45 and a few $40. I ended up going with an eighth of Diablo and their A1 OG. For my first time gift, I got a gram off the specials menu and other goodies. Awesome first time gifts, actually. They also have a rewards program. You get a free gram on your tenth visit with a punched business card.
All and all, I was very pleased with my visit to A1. I would recommend people that live in the Burbank/N.Hwood area to check this place out. I think I found my new work spot (closest best dispensary from work).

Customer service: Cute girls at the counter, and a VERY helpful BudTender.
I had gone to P&C first, who rejected my out-of-state ID and my current California residence lease, only to find A1 ORGANIC.. who TOOK CARE OF ME. Even despite a couple new (November 2010) tricky laws, A1 staff was able to work within the legal boundaries and still help out a patient in need. 99% of other shops would not have taken the extra steps to legally get me my medicine. It seems most pot shops are quick to turn folks down over the smallest issue - even ones that they can legally work around. I've met more POLICE that are cooler than most of these potshops. But A1 customer service was exceptionally helpful in providing service. Because they were loyal to me, I shall forever be loyal to them. And I'm not just talking about the out-of-state thing.
Ultimately this is what counts, right? Most prices around are similar, but a shop like this with Excellent customer service and Sticky smelly nugs = Grade A treatment.
I just moved to West Hollywood, but I'm still gonna come up here sometimes because these guys helped me out and I owe them one. They also have a great customer rewards program.

50 Cap Skywalker was nice
I like a place that lets you have access to top shelf herb and also has a very sweet and freshly manicured blend of Skywalker
This place has no security outside, but there is plenty of surviellance. Parking is diificult, but not if you are in and out real quick.
I would also like to point out, that there are no scientists in here, but you will find some pleasant people who are eager to please you and offer help to meet you in the middle.
I suggest that you come on by and try this place out, I like places that seem more underground.

Improved selection, and increased wait
Came back in here the other night, and to my surprised chagrin this place was packed!! I'm glad to see that business is going good. This, turns out to be a good stroke of luck for the shop, but not such a great turn of events for the consumer.
Still the bud here is really dank, tested and certified. But the wait was just so incredibly long, and when I did get back into the bud shop there was a customer who was already there being helped. Than this couple walks out of this room marked conveniently "Employees Only" and jump right in front of me and start with their selection, and shopping process.
I never go into places telling them who I am, demanding any sort of preferential treatment and every once in a while I'll get a shop that invites me by.
But talk about feeling like I was being left out of the loop. For the few seconds the door swung open, I was able to gander at what looked like a huge party. I'm not trying to say I was jealous (perhaps a little)I was unable or not even invited to go inside. I'm not an employee, & I mean if you want me to wait in the comforts of your little party going on, I won't object. I probably won't complain about it, but than again, when you apparently not good enough to be invited, when it makes me wait longer for my medication, yeah your going to hear about it...
Unfortunately the party in the back with the steady pace of customers coming in, proves to make the line in here, move at a pace similar to molasses, crawling down a tree, on a really cold day.
Still I tried the Blue Dream, this time. Excellent strain and powerful, tasty, and awesome. But honestly that has little to do with the staff, one person is responsible for writing the check that bought the bud. Kudos to you, good sir. The only responsibility any of you bud-tenders have is making your clients feel satisfied. Let's not even dabble in the whole, "how lucky you are to even have a job" let alone having it my personal dream job (if a store would ever hire me) so what I don't understand is when a bud-tender is not the mot excited and happiest person I see in my day.
But just so you don't think I'm on some wild tangent. I happen to come in just a few nights ago, and I've wrote previous reviews before for your store, yet and you still have me fill out a form for first time patients. Not to mention only a mild version of your painful wait. Just for kicks, let's say, I had something (none of your business) come up and I can't wait and I have to go... and you say something condescending, as I asked to be let out, instead of helped. No excuse for behaving that way
You have great dank, and a steady well established line of patients. If you can't remember me from one day to the next, than I suggest spending less time in the back party room, and more time making sure the people who let you go in there to do your thing are getting their money's worth... all of them. THE HOUSE STRAIN (A-1 OG)
Okay so me and all of my boys go to this shop and all i gotta say is There A-1 og is not worth the price its listed for it is all STEMY and taste like outdoor chronic not even close to a og ever since i haven't gone back they said there private strain a-1 og was the best on shelf and ended up being the worst NEVER AGIN A-1 OG

Great Bud and Price but...
I came in for the frist time in along time tonight and things have changed. New doors and a all new staff and I don't know it was just like "here's your weed, come again" not real talkitive. The weed is awesome, good price price range, and there's a lot to choose from. I'll most likely will go back. If you just want some good weed go here.

A1 Love
ive been coming here ever since i got my club card but not a daily basis. they just hired somenew people so wen i first came in when that changed it was very hard for me to relate to some of tem when they werent trying to relate to me. their parking is all messed up and sometimes i cant leave unless another car does or im sared my car will get hit from someone tryingto exitteparking lot. but dont get me wrong, this place had BOMB bud for cheap prices. i would say Blue Dream all the. that seems to be my favorite from themm.

A1 is A-Okay
I have had many indicas, sativas and hybrids from this shop (and countless grams of their OG kief). I only buy top shelf medicine. Although i have checked out their shake and budget bud as well to see the overall quality of the shop. This shop has really great buds for really great bucks. From top to bottom shelf.
I must also say that the Hichem triple-chocolate brownies and the hash peanut butter cookie (as well as all of their edibles) are tasty and strong. Eat half and be happy. Eat it all and be on your ass feeling wonderful.
I would recommend any of their top shelf strains for medicinal smoking, but the one that bears the name of the club (A1 OG) is a truly incredible smoke. It is as dense as a golf ball and has a classic OG presence about the entire bud. Easily one of the best OGs I have medicated with. And I am an OG lover and critic. There are a lot of whack-ass stains out there in a lot of clubs calling themselves 'something OG'. A1's version of this classic bud really earns its rank amongst the pantheon of perfect pot. Truly.
The staff here is pretty chill and really friendly. I was in on 420 for some great specials and free pizza and beverages. They make you feel welcome here. Unprofessional Staff
First time experience was ok they forgot the free gram however they replaced it the second visit. The blonde in the front as the receptionist is not professional at all she is either eating or rolling joints. I referred a patient and the patient made a complaint to the staff and the red head girl came out of the back room not knowing what was being discussed and turned to the blonde and said "She needs to get laid" referring to my friend their new referral. When asking questions all staff is hostile and not informative they dont know many of the answers to their product. People are waiting in the parking lot smoking not a good feeling when leaving with your own meds. Its a party all around its places like this that burn the rest of the dispensaries that are reputable and professional and treat you with more respect..Highe mature staff and youll have a higher grade of cclientel.

My favorite dispensary PERIOD!!
I go to A1 daily. They continuously provide me with high quality medicine for a very good donation amount. Staff is very helpful and fast. They carry everything you need! Definatly the place to checkout!

Lots of high quality meds to choose from...prices are reasonable. the staff could be friendlier, but nobody was unpleasant...everyone kinda had this "...meh" attitude. so i'd say the spot is "...meh." but the place is obviously popular. right before i left a huge swarm came in. got a lot less comfy...but it makes sense that this place gets packed. their buds are top shelf. if u can live w/out compassionate staff, this is the spot.

This is a good spot, especially for people in Burbank. I think it is the best spot in the area. I believe all of the meds are organic (maybe staff can confirm this on here?). In any case, the prices are spot on and the OG selection is really good.

This is one of the closest shops to my house so I frequent it often. The medicine at any price range is good and the staff is really cool and helpful and give great recommendation.

FIRST TIME VISIT
hey there peeps.. i just stopped by A1.. the process was easy.. the place is a bit small and i was only there for a couple minutes before it got crowded. but thats not an issue, the BT Lindsey took her time with me and answered my questions without looking irritated lol she was so helpful and the specials they have are nuts!! the price board is pretty self explanitory.. the prices are pretty good. as a 1st time patient, i got to clip my own clone, and decide wether i want to keep it or not. i chose to keep it, lindsey was great at convincing me too lol i hope i can keep this one alive =/ .. i also recieved a free lighter, rolling papers, a G that equals the 8th u bought (in price). i walked out happy, and i will definately be back to A1 .. thanks guys!

Highly Recommended
My experience has always been good here. I tried the Cherry Kush - it is a well grown indica of the purple variety. Very mild purple flavor with a tart and sweet red cherry taste. Came in for patient appreciation day and was very happy. Staff are real cool, and generous, but the best thing is the bud quality. It is organic, well-grown and fresh - never pre-packaged or dry. A1 Is Winning
I think A1 is my favorite shop around right now. The staff is super friendly & mostly younger people so i always end up talking to them. They have buds for and budget which is the cool part about A1. They also do half eighths, something a lot of shops wont do. They have a wide selection of concentrates & edibles. They also had all your smoke shop accessories like swishers , pipes, papers, lighters, all that good stuff, right in the shop. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area. Although some of their buds go for as low as 30 an eighth, all of their buds have a noticeable high whether strong or weak so you are never paying for crappy buds.

From The Song(Hybrid)to the Cracker Jack(Sativa) all The way to the Best Blueberry Og(Indica) in all of LOS ANGELES, Its no wonder why Hands Down A1 is my #1 choice no matter where I Stand in the sanfernando Valley . Bud quality I dont even need to mention, Go Smell the wide variety for your self. You might even come out medicated just from that. :P Back on a seriouse note though, the service&atmosphere is always both welcoming and very helpful. What I must say I love the most is regardless how bad your doing, or how good, there is always a price and a strain of your preference at a price you can afford. A-1 is my favorite "local" club. I live in Burbank, and there's not much over this way that has both good quality and descent price. It's a small club, and has super friendly staff. They have a decent selection of meds and edibles. I love the Blue Dream and Blue Champagne! For me, they lack a super stoney top end Kush! I've tried the Bluberry, Fuego, Dr. Green Thumb, and maybe one other. They're all very tasty, and very, very good. But not that top level great. I will certainly return, as they have some great Sativa and Hybrid prices.

The Perfect Place for me
Ok, so here I go. I am going to be honest with you people. The first few times I smoked pot I was definitely turned off by it. I was getting it from random people in college (like we all do) and I ended up tripping out very badly. At that point I decided, "Maybe weed just doesn't do it for me?" Then after a few months, a good friend of mine told me that I probably wasn't smoking the right stuff. I didn't really want to listen but the idea had continued to linger in the back of my mind. This friend advised me to get a card and possibly figure out exactly what type of weed would work for me. I thought I would give it a try. So about a week later, I got a card and started hitting up a few places around LA and I wasn't really feeling it. I couldn't find a place that worked for me. I felt like these places didn't really understand where I was coming from because I wasn't this advanced weed smoker. Then I stumbled upon A-1 after eating at Tom's Burgers in North Hollywood. As I hesitantly walked in, I was greeted with a splash of compassion and positivity. Everyone at A-1 was so friendly and allowed me to explore the options of what weed would really work for me. To this day, I refuse to go anywhere else. The selective of bud is incredible and even though it might seem pricey as times, it is definitely worth it. You definitely get what you pay for at A-1. I felt 100% comfortable going in there. Now trust me on this, you A-1 is definitely the place to go.

Larry OG clones.
Hello.
Nice club a bit far away from me but we needed some clones, parking's in the back and the front desk assistant is very nice, waiting lounge is nice also. Club was a bit busy but that's a good thing.
They also have a 24hour verification period after you go in there to sign up as a new patient. This is one of two collectives i have been to that do this.
anyways me and my friend Elijah (big guy and a little guy) went in Saturday to pickup a few cuts of the Larry og clones they have available. I Believe our bud tenders name was Alex, we picked out 4 cuttings of the larry og strain two that had been donated to us as first time patients and two we donated for.
I Also donated 20/gram of there best top shelf medication to try there clubs top.
Alex was very nice gave us two of the clones as first time patient, and a gram each to me and my boy. (True OG / Stony OG)
That was very compassionate of you guys and i do appreciate the love.
When i got home i realized the top shelf gram i donated 20 for was not in the bag but we did get everything alex gave us accept the top shelf gram i selected.
3 out of the 4 Larry OG Clones died within 12hours. out of the 4 we got 3 did not have any good rooting systems, one is left ok and had some good roots after we got home 3 out of 4 clones had no roots coming out of the rockwool. you need better lighting for the ones on the shelf most of them did not look to healthy even picking the best out of the bunch did no good.
i live in Reseda area so once we got home to open the bag that's when i noticed the top shelf gram was not in there. i know from how kind Alex was that this was 100% just a mix up there was a crowed in there and its understandable.
I live about 25 miles each way from this club and had been on the search for clones so i didn't want to drive back once i got home. i was a bit tiered from trying to find clones and my bmw guzzles gas up. i didn't really want to call up about it on my day off so i just figured id leave a nice Weedmaps review if they can do something great, if not no biggie and i should just check bags before i leave from any club.
if there's anything you can do or if Alex happens to remember that situation cool. if not no biggie atleast we got 1 healthy clone out of 4 and some mid grade med's.elijahmann -
The Dankiest of DANK
A1 is the best of clubs around this area! the atmosphere in the store is really welcoming and its has nothing but good vibes. If your looking for dank bud in the Valley, this is the place to go, everyone goes to A1. They have some bomb deals compared to some other clubs in the area who try and rip you off, they wont do that there. The hours are also great cause they stay open till a good time on the weekdays and they also have the security guard out in the parking lot so it reassures that your safe.A1 is the BEST CLUB!

Great Place
This was my first time going to A-1 , What a pleasant experience.Staff was Friendly and very Knowlegeable about their collective. I had the pleasure of cutting a clone to take home with me to grow. They also showered me with a free pipe ,rolling papers, Free gram & a oatmeal cookie that was the bomb.I will be going back again. Plus it is close by to my home. That lambs Breath was great. First Time, Great Experience
Went here this afternoon, and it is one of my new favorite collectives. As a FTP they have you clip your own clone, which is always fun. You have the choice of taking it home or donating it back. Lindsay helped me out and was very helpful and friendly. I left there with some Durban, Green Crack, an a free g of Chocolope, and some hash. All looked and smelled great. Had some of the Durban and Chocolope already, enjoyed both a lot. Definitely a place you should check out.

WOW! MAN! Well I finally decided to take a trip over to this place and I was really impressed. I liked the different choices to pick from. I couldn't choose. So after talking to the staff about it they put me on with some good meds and worked with what funds I had on it. (A good price 4 donation for you reg folks.) They also showed me some new electronic peice that still has me looking up info on the product now. I recomend you go check out what I'm talkin about. It's a game changer... Dedicated to the Staff of A1..!
Staff are extravagant, they had info on all their different strains and which one would best fit me. They are always making me feel comfortable and safe going in the dispensary!Possibly, hands down, one of the best clubs in the area. If your looking for something specific...they probably have it. This collective is the best one around so far. To there bud all the way to there pipes everything here is way to good to be true!! A1 is always is stocked up pretty well. There nugs smell on point and the helping staff go out of there way... take time out of there day to look up lab tests on different strains of bud. now as you can see that the staff there are too perfect, there service is even better. So that should explain why A1 Organics is the place not only to go once or twice but ALL the time :)

First Choice
I've been coming to A1 for almost four years and i have yet to be disappointed. the staff are great, very friendly and helpful! The bud is pretty dank and there are plenty of different strands to choose from, so i guarantee you will leave a satisfied customer. one of the best parts of A1 Organic is the daily specials they offer (mon-free shake, tue- free joint, etc.). not too many other clubs offer deals like this to their patients unless it's 4/20 or some other holiday. i highly reccommend this dispensary to anyone and everyone! horrible first time
So it was my first time at this shop and in the beginning we were greeting warmly by the guy in the front desk, so after we enter the budroom the atmosphere totally changed from good to akward, the budtender was kinda rude he just asked what we wanted and didnt even greet anyone in the budroom. We only came to this shop because in weedspots it said if you donate more than 40 you get a freebies and sadly i didnt get mines with my 40 dollar donation he just gave us bud and just stared at us for a cool second so we just left....never comming back to this shop ever again..

My first visit was awesome! Went on my birthday so not only did I get my new patient stuff (minus the pipe...boo) I got an extra free G for being my birthday...and it was a Monday so I got a free G of shake! All in all I donated $45 and left with 6Gs of some really good stuff plus my lighter, papers and clone! I will for sure keep coming back here for their good meds and very knowledable staff!

Boy was I wrong as sooni as I found out that the first time patient s get a freeCLONE A ND A JOINT.....I found out that this is the only collective I have visited for my medicine that offered this and was even will ong to let me cut my clone myself. I was blown away by the patience that the BUDTENDERS HAD WITH ME SO CLOSE TO CLOSING TIME..... This place has so many steains o indica and Sativa I was expecting like 5 or 10 strains. These guys offered 35+ strains not including the hash and ear wax. I I have definitely found my new home away from home.

I Came here for my first time and was suprised by the copious strains that theyha to offer. I was blown away by the prices and how nice the budtenders where. I also found that they had some good prices for ear wax starting as low as $15... OmG and the staff knows their stuff. I was expecting just a whole in the wall but this is place is a hidden treasure and if u shop here I will get the Victory..... Have fun and enjoy this jeweled place. 1st time experience
First time experience in a dispensary after getting my card today. I might be setting myself for disappointment in the future if I go to other places because A1 was such a great start. The lady at the front got me started, and once I went in to buy she let me know to tell the person helping me that it was my first visit. I was helped out by Allen, who greeted me with a smile and a handshake and told me everything I needed to know about the place and all the things A1 has to offer. I was short on cash and went with 2g of Mystery Shake. Allen let me know ahead of time that it could either be hit or miss, and his honesty was more than appreciated. I was glad I didn't get someone trying to sell me on something bad as honesty is a huge deal to me and it shows a lot of character. After trying out what I got, I can honestly say the stuff I got was a hit. Gonna tryout the other strains they have if I got the cash in future visits, check out some of the edibles, hit up the shop on giveaway days, and take advantage of their rewards program.
The vibe inside is also really cool. It was a cozy atmosphere with people having a good time. Everyone seemed so relaxed and comfortable. It was really cool being there. If anyone in the Burbank area needs a spot to go to, head over there. I can't wait to head back.AndrewLP -

My first time coming here I found my best hook up spot forthe best sativas and hash In LA. As soon as I got their there was no line and it was very clean. I told the guy I was looking for the best sativas in North Hollywood. He got right to showing me the vast selestion and told me since it was my first time I would be getting a free clone and gram. That blew my socks lffi was so happy I wanted to cy.. Almost but I was happy to find a dispensary with such a good selection to choose fromand so conveniently close to my home. i love this place the staff i freekin AWESOme. the entire staff lives up to the name A1. i literally feel that this has to be the greatest staff they always have patience and i love the way you get a FREE CLONE or your first visit. My only choice in LA for Quality
I found A1 on weepmaps in July and been coming in every week since. I keep finding new strains at A1 that are more amazing than the last, and I thought the last was better than the one before that. I'm real strict when it comes to quality bud and I have settled with A1. Even when I moved from the valley 2 months ago about 20-30 miles or so south. It's always worth the trip I guess you can call me a frequent flyer.

This place is unbelievable. I love the chill atmosphere and the environment is very calm and serene. this collective has a free gift every day except friday and saturday. i love the fact that you get a free gramand a free clone for the first time patience and they really do have alot of strains. i think i saw over 50 strains and they update theyboard constantly. this place is also amazing because they cap all 8ths at 50.

Ok, Red haired girl is hot, i just have to start with that.
Bud quality: well its not bad, desent OG's, the Alpha blue is amazing, dutch treat also, but they just have some bad nugs, for example dont go here for sour diesle, its just upsetting,the nugs are about half the size of a pencil eraser, they have a wide selection though.
Atomosphere: Not bad, the place is very small.
Staff: the red haired girl is hot, that bing said the guys are rude and seem to know very little about herb, only what gets you high. there is normaly one person helping a small room FULL of people while the gangster in charge just walks around.
Accessibility: parking can be a joke at times, but its not horrible.
Price: Well those pencil erasers they call sour diesle are not on discount. some places just cant get through their head that they dont have anything speacial enough to still charge what they do. this place with the exception of some og's and a few others, should not be charging over 45$ for anything they have.mista_tee -

Great Collective
Stopped by A1 Organic Collective a couple of days ago for the first time. Check in was simple and fast. It wasn't a 10 page process. I think they kept it down to 2. I REALLY appreciate that A1. Pretty much as soon as I sat down I was in the med room. Nice selection of strains. Budtender's were friendly, personable and knowledgable. I also didn't feel rushed to get out which was nice. Got a danky OG.. forgot the name...but it was bomb. And a great deal at $15 a gram. Checked out their concentrates and picked up some Grape Ape budder. Smelled great. But it wasn't purged all the way and as soon as I put a dab on my glass nail, it started fizzling like crazy. But...a littler hot water treatment and sunlight did the trick. Brought out more of the flavor. Still though...it would have been nice if I didn't have to do all of that. I'll still come by and check out more of the other concentrates...like the sugar daddy wax. Hopefully that'll be purged all the way through. Other than that, great collective and I recommend it.

Been going here for more then 3 years. I use to drive all the way from South Central LA just to go here. Ok maybe I was coming out here to visit my friends but I would pass by many shops on the way there and still go to A1 instead. Now I live near by and still A1 is the only place I go. I have had my medical license for over 7 years and have just about tried everything. At A1 I always find what I am looking for.
Bud Quality:
Good buds. If you ask they can always point out the freshest stuff. I am poor but smoke a lot so I can get stuff in my budget that doesn't just burn my throat. When I have they money the high end stuff is worth the price. Plenty of choices of Indicas, Sativas, and hybrids. Good supply of consecrates and edibles also.
Atmosphere:
The place is small and cozy. Sometimes it cant get crowded in peak hours. It seems like they know their regulars by their first name. It is clean inside and I feel secure while there. The area is well lit at night with security cameras at key places.
Staff:
The staff is awesome. They went out of their way and have a staff members drive from the other side of town just to get me a new bowl for my bong. This has happened a few times so I am very grateful to know they are there when I need them. Rule of thumb where ever you go, don't be a jerk, people will treat you better.
Accessibility:
Handy-cap parking that is van accessible. There is a step down into the place so not wheel chair friendly. Parking can be tight at peak hours but they do have their own dedicated parking lot so street parking is not needed.
Price:
In my budget. Rarely do they price anything over $50. The $40 range has quite enough power to be the ideal choice for my every days needs. I started to come here because of the good prices and they are still good now.GravityRob -
