Great little shop in the Mission District!!!
4/20 was a blast and I got plenty of meds to keep me occupied but by the time I left the Cypress Hill concert on Wednesday night my supply had took a little hit so I decided to check the maps out the day after and see what other shops were worth checking out. I came upon a shop that hadn't got much rep yet and was not in any area of San Francisco that I had ever been on Mission. The surrounding area honestly reminded me of L.A or need I say Mexico. I think SF has a district for everything and this place confirmed it! The shop I found is called Shambhala and is located in the heart of the Mission district.
This shop is not located in a area that I could get to by foot so I didn't find it to be the most accessible shop around the city, but it is very easy to get to on the Bus thus I will only take one star away for convienence. Other than that and a 55 cap for 3.5 grams I really didn't find anything to complain about during my visit and was rather impressed with the overall set-up of the shop and the staff working was very friendly and patient. The Verification process was a few sheets to fill out and a stamp on the rec and I was being admitted to the back.
The budroom is set-up pretty spacious and had really nice wood fixtures and flooring and cases throughout the shop. I noticed a case with novelties and pipes and water pieces and pokers thus making the shop a one stop shop which was nice change to see with most of the other shops in the City only offering medicine. The flowers are set-up with two seperate stations housing the same sample bottles to look at before asking to pick the meds. I guess another gripe I could make is that everything here is pre-weighed and not weighed infront of you from a larger container, but they do offer a few packages to choose from so at least you get few options.
There was a ample selection at the time I visited and I did notice several of the options that were listed on weedmaps available, but some were not so I guess updating the Weedmaps menu a little more often would be good too. Out of the many options, there are some better strains than others and some rare crosses aswell, but I am just speculating due to what I ended up with that a few of the names could either be made up or off, but it is what it is and if you know your stuff you will know what you are looking for. I ended up with the Lemon OG after deciding between it and the Fire OG that was available. The Fire OG was a very good example of the strain and I would have ended up with it if I had not been intrigued by the obviously hybrish batch of Lemon OG that was available thus I didn't go with a traditional OG this time a around.
The Lemon OG I ended up with is not very Lemonish and really reminded me of Hindu Skunk Phenotype. The smell reminds me of Pot of Gold and the initial taste leaves a very Earthy, woody almost skunkish flavor on your pallate similar to some batches of Haze you might come across. The cross is suppose to be Lemon Skunk x OG Kush, but like I stated I think it could be more of a Hindu Kush x Skunk cross instead. The nuggs are very dense and light to yellowish green with tightly wound Orangish brown hairs throughout the buds. The high is very nice and great daytime smoke and starts with a heady uplift and can be felt throughout the body and shoulders just enough. I really like the overall feel of this strain and I am really glad I got a chance to try there batch of this stuff.
As a first timer I was given a small sample of their Chem 4 and for the donation of this stuff noramlly I think its a steal. Very chem doggish and almost like a lemon diesel varient and very heady. Light yellows, oranges and greens comprise the sample I was given and it was a very tasty and effective gift compared to alot of the stress some shops give for free nugg samples. At 40 a slice I saw alot of outdoor and greenhouse at other shops that I wouldn't even bother medicating with so this was a welcomed gift.
Throught it all my visit to Shambhala was a good one and I suggest checking out this up and coming shop in the Mission District. I want to thank the budtender for being nice and patient and showing me everything I asked to see and I look forward to making another trip up and checking out whats in stock at this nice little shop. First club visited, now comparing
It's been two months since I've been there but reviewing now. This was my first dispensary since it was literally half a block away from my doc. I was excited to go in since it was my first time. Quality was good all around. Price is a little high on some strains. The best i found, and if its in I highly recommend it. Apollo Mist. Bomb bomb bomb. And its not even their top top shelf. Down side, really far away from me, not the best neighborhood (i don't care, but if you do f.y.i) and taxes. Bad enough an eighth goes for $60 and turns out to be $68. But clean club inside, nice atmosphere. Super super chill staff. Sucks about distance and taxes, other than that its good

im a new patient to shambala but i was so impressed with this place- a nixe guard esxorts you in, no rush, lots of ligta and VERY helpful BT- dont forget to tip!!!!

Regular Customer Forever
I so love this club I am a regular along with my boyfriend. I love the grape ape and the jackberry helps my arthritis pain go away. My favorite is to spend 50 bucks and spin the wheel to win a prize I feel like im on the marijuana wheel of fortune. I also love the 8ths for $30 no matter if its purple wreck purple tara blue tara or whatever the buds is always good. To top it off I also purchase my accessories like pipes papers lighter etc.. all for a very cheap price.

Blue Dream pills
Just the other day I noticed that this place has some new weed pills in, they are made with Blue Dream which is one of my favorite strains so I was excited to try them. I took two and about two hours later I was perfectly medicated. The effect was super long lasting, felt high for a good 4-5 hours. The best part about these pills is they are hella CHEAP!!!! I am very pleased Shambhala, keep 'em coming!!!!!

Super nice place, decent herb
I came in for the first time the other day and the staff was great, found parking less than a block away, was checked in for the first time in only a few minutes and the place was clean and well laid out.
I came in to tryout the Deadhead OG which is one of my favorite strains and I expected it to be pretty dank since it was one of their $60 8th top shelf strains. I gotta say it was mediocre at best and I find far better herb for $45 an 8th elsewhere.
I also got an 8th of the Chocolope and this was a decent surprise. I did not like the fact that I got a bunch of little popcorn bud and then a bunch of shake to go with it. For $60 an 8th, it better be top shelf and this lacked the qualities you would expect when spending top shelf prices. I will say that is is a joy to smoke. The taste is great and the effect is fairly strong as well.
I hate to say it as I was hoping to add a new place to my list, but I will not be returning to this club. I just can't give my business to a club that sells mediocre buds at top shelf prices.
Heavy smokers, save your money and go elsewhere, sorry to say.stickyskunk -
Decent Dispensary
This place was alright. Nothing too special. The inside looks nice and neat, there's a couch and a table if you wanna roll something up but no smoking. The bud was alright, again, nothing too special. The top shelf looked good i guess but i wouldn't pay $60/8th for it. They had a couple $50/8th strains that looked good too, but still too expensive for me. Their cheaper strains looked decent at best. The staff was nice, the doorman being the coolest and the girl behind the counter was nice. She didn't rush me at all, then again it was empty when i was there. The only person that wasn't chill was this older guy in a red shirt. He looked pissed off, maybe he was having a bad day, but he was making me feel sketched out. I said what's up to him when he came out from the back but he just stared at me. Stared at me the whole time i was there.. I ended up getting a gram of w.o.g. that looks alright, it was on sale for $10 a gram. The girl told me the buds were covered in kief? Kind of strange but i'm not complaining, however, the "gram" was only .8, i could tell from looking at the two bags she told me to choose from that it was going to be less than a gram. I might go back but only cause it's conveniently near my work.

Alright Dispensary
Convenient location (close to both BART stations (16th & 24th)), clean, friendly staff. Quality of weed was just OK, overpriced for what you get. Edibles were meh - kinda expensive and didn't get me very high.
May give these guys another chance if I'm in the area, but I say go elsewhere if you want high quality weed.scarletfire628 -

I HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR THE PAST MONTH OR TWO, I LIKE THIS PLACE BECAUSE THE INSIDE IS VERY RELAXING. THEY HAVE AN AREA TO ROLL JOINTS BEFORE YOU LEAVE. THE DIRECTOR IS COOL, HE ALWAYS COMES OUT AND GREETS ME AND WELCOMES ME.

In town for a night
I was staying at the mission for couple days and came across this clinic; the guy at the door was nice and gave me a quick overview of what to expect. The place is really nice from the inside, it felt very comforting, i guess the wall colors are easy of the eyes and relaxing. I did not expect that kind of classy in the mission, the bud quality was cool, I got the flight package because you can never go wrong with variety, and the budtender was sweet and talkative (sorry forgot the name). Parking was a challenge but hey its SF! will be back soon. Two Thumbs up.

Cool little cut spot on mission! My 3rd place to go for MMJ. There are a lot of MMJ dispensaries on the mission and this is a great spot to check if you are down there just because the Spin the Wheel for a prize is pretty AWESOME! I got the last eighth of GS cookies !!! AL is nice thanks man! GS cookies + mflb = blasted!

Nice place deep in the Mission
I was in the search for an 8th Purple Kush and this was the only place that had it in SF. Also, this was another collective I wanted to check off the list since my homey told me this was a good place. So another 2 birds with 1 stone situation....
This place is deep in the Mission and parking will usually suck. Public transportation would probably be your best bet. The place itself is very clean and bright. They have a nice selection of pipes, bongs, & vaporizers. They had the usual vapes like MFB, Volcano, and the WISPR. They had the WISPR at a decent price cheaper than what I see online. So that was tempting to get on the spot. Also, since it was my 1st time there, I got a free joint.
They have cute down to earth Ms. budtenders. The lady that helped me out was extremely helpful with not only what I wanted, but she also made other suggestions of other good Indicas. She was telling me about the benefits Blackberry and I must admit, she sold me good on it that I'll probably get that on my next pay day.
Their buds are nicely laid out with THC & CBD ratings on it. I was happy to see new strains there that I haven't seen at other dispensaries. They also have a decent selection of $10 grams like Sour Diesel & Green Cush. However their 8th (3.5g) tend to be a little pricier than average. Lastly, if you plan to get an 8th, come during happy hour to spin the wheel and you could win a gram to an other 8th.
Overall, an excellent place to check out in the city if you want to see new strains and talk to friendly people.yondeezy -
Pretty impressive
Wow, this place is huge! I usually get delivery service, but I happened to drive by the other day and I remembered that my friend had recommended it a while back. They've got a great selection and some edibles I've never seen before. Too bad it's a little off the beaten path for me. Even still, I give it high marks.

I like this place because the staff are respectful and compassionate, always a nice variety of meds (I am a big fan of the flights packages).

I am from south bay but I come to the city twice a week and I love Shambhala for it is accessible by bart, the staff are cool, and the place is calming.
