Some towns and cities have adopted medical marijuana laws either in favor or against incoming marijuana businesses, but one cannabis technology and grow company decided to purchase a whole town in hopes of creating a one-of-a-kind community for cannabis lovers. Tourists will be able to enjoy lodging, mineral baths, retail marijuana shops, and a unique eco-cannabis experience for the "conscious cannabis consumers".The town of Nipton in California, near the Nevada border, will surely be making a big transition over the next two years and will likely become a tourist hot spot for cannabis lovers. The company initially wanted to produce cannabis-infused bottled water in the small town, but now has big dreams for what the town could become.

The company plans to make Nipton the country’s “first energy-independent, cannabis-friendly hospitality destination,” American Green said in a statement.

American Green said it will initially focus on bottling cannabis-infused water in the town. The production of marijuana edibles and the cultivation of cannabis won’t be far behind in American Green’s 18-month, $2.5 million development time frame
