Michigan releases symbol to label medical marijuana products

Published on 2/19/18

Michigan has experienced many setbacks and delays in it's medical marijuana program since it began in 2008 but one thing the state wont have to worry about anymore is how to label medical cannabis products. Regulations for labeling were approved back in 2016 and are now a requirement. The new symbol for medical cannabis products in Michigan is an upside-down green triangle with a cannabis leaf in the middle. The words "CONTAINS THC" are big and bold above the triangle as per the state's Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act, which also features a list of other labeling requirements.

Michigan has released an official symbol to label medical marijuana products that are sold in the state and is detailing required labeling for such products.

The symbol is an upside-down green triangle with an image of a green marijuana leaf in the middle along with the words "CONTAINS THC" above it. THC is the active ingredient of marijuana.
