Indiana lawmakers have been debating many different bills including some medical marijuana legislation to become law, but they ran out of time this week when the general assembly hit it's deadline. Though committee lawmakers wanted to see a study on legalizing medical cannabis the resolution did not make it far enough. Another bill legalizing medical marjuana also failed to become law, however the support it gained shows the change in legislator's views and the positive possibilities for medical marijuana in the future. The Indiana House did passa low THC bill that would legalize cannabidiol and now the Senate will be voting on a similar bill soon. Ontop of the cannabis bills, Indiana lawmakers also missed the deadlines for other topics like allowing cold beer to be sold in grocery stores, abortion, and the legal smoking age.
