Smoking Marijuana for 50 Years, and Turning Out Just Fine

Many people who are unsure about the effects of marijuana often assume that long term use has negative effects, but long time toker, Catherine Hiller has only positive things to say about pot in her new book, “Just Say Yes: A Marijuana Memoir.” Marijuana was not a gateway drug that sent her into a heroin addiction, or obesity driven by munchies. It did not impair her ability to follow through with her life the same ambition she always had. 

“I wanted to show people that smoking marijuana did not make me hit rock bottom,” Ms. Hiller, 68, said. “My story is the story of so many people who use each day. And so what? What’s the issue? What will it lead to?”
