San Diego | Marijuana Travel Guide

Known as ‘the birthplace of California,’ San Diego is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway for anyone looking for some fun in the sun. From beautiful beaches, warm weather, great restaurants and activities galore, San Diego is a one-stop shop to enjoy the best Southern California has to offer.

Since January 1, 2018, recreational cannabis became fully legal in California. Specifically speaking (and a few months prior), the San Diego City Council voted 6-3 to legalize and regulate recreational cultivation, distribution and retail. This momentous period in time catapulted “America’s Finest City” as one of the most open-minded and enlightened cities in the entire state, paving way for great marijuana businesses to plant their roots for tourists and locals alike to enjoy.

After stopping by a marijuana dispensary around town, be sure to soak up the sun along the area’s picturesque coastline or spend time taking in the natural beauty of Balboa Park. This vibrant city boasts a thriving art scene with studios and galleries all across the city – and incredible restaurants to match. If you have time, check out the zoo or stop by a museum and the historical Old Town San Diego. In general, it would take quite a bit of time to fully explore this city, so take your time and let it all sink in!
