Massachusetts regulators have been hard at work but officials say they can't give a final date when the first recreational cannabis dispensary will be open. The final steps before opening are being taken, like inputting inventory into the seed-to-sale tracking system, licensing the testing lab, and a final inspection of the retail store. Steven Hoffman of the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) says they're doing everything as fast as possible and the first recreational dispensary could be open in the "next week or two". The last step for the CCC is issuing a certificate of 'commence operations' however it will be up to the store at that point to verify their business is ready for customers.
