Morgan Freeman Shoots Straight: On Legalizing Marijuana and His Escape From New York

You've undoubtedly seen/heard Morgan Freeman in a summer blockbuster movie, or narrating a documentary, but you may not know that the Oscar-winning celebrity suffers from fibromyalgia pain that he treats with marijuana. Freeman, a long time user, will take it in whatever form he can get it in, and notes that having discovered that marijuana treats seizures in children allowing them to live normal lives is enough to say "Legalize it accross the border!"

“And what negative effects does it have?” Freeman continues. “Look at Woodstock 1969. They said, ‘We’re not going to bother them or say anything about smoking marijuana,’ and not one problem or fight. Then look at what happened in ’99,” he says, referencing the less marijuana-friendly 30th-anniversary event, which resulted in riots and arrests.
