Changes Bloom In Florida Senate Marijuana Plan

Last year, florida legislators passed a law allowing the medicinal use of marijuana oils to treat certain debilitating conditions. Caps were set for the legal limit of THC and CBD but many believe the current cap of 0.08% THC is too low to be beneficial. Changes are being discussed to raise the THC limit while also ensuring the CBD limit of atleast 10% is met.

Supporters of a broader bill have urged Bradley and others to raise the ratio of THC to CBD to at least one-to-one. Some proponents are asking lawmakers to raise the THC level to 10 or 15 percent and lower the minimum CBD level.

“It’s too early to tell, but those are certainly numbers that are being considered,” Bradley said Monday."
