Colorado Springs To Vote On Possible Marijuana Club Ban

Colorado Springs To Vote On Possible Marijuana Club Ban

Published on 3/6/16

Colorado has pioneered recreational marijuana in the US and later this month will decide a major turning point in the social aspect of smoking marijuana in the state. Cannabis clubs have become popular since legalization, but legislators will be voting later this month whether or not to ban them. If the clubs become banned, owners will be given a 5 year period to reimburse their investment before closing. If clubs are permitted, more shops will be able to open under new zoning regulations. The vote will take place March 22.

If city council decided to not ban marijuana clubs, they still want to discus possible new rules and regulations about where the clubs could open. City council is considering allow the clubs be built in industrial areas. Also, new restrictions would go into place
