Italy's medical marijuana industry has a slight shortage after a rise in demand recently and the Canadian cannabis supplier Aurora Cannabis Inc has made a deal to supply the Italian market. Aurora Cannabis will be shipping the product to their German counterpart where they will supply the product directly to the Italian Ministry of Defense. The Italian Minsitry of Defense is currently the only supplier of medical cannabis to Italy but Aurora Cannabis says it will partner up with the Danish vegetable producer Alfred Pedersen & Son to supply cannabis around parts of Europe.

Canada’s Aurora Cannabis Inc said on Thursday its German unit Pedanios won a contract to supply medical marijuana to the Italian market.

Aurora, Canada’s second largest pot producer, will export medical cannabis into Germany through Pedanios, which will supply the Italian market through the Italian Ministry of Defence.
