Discover cannabis culture in Bay City, MI

Located near the base of Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron, Bay City, Michigan is a quaint town known for its beautiful views and laid-back lifestyles on the Saginaw River. Back in 2019, Bay City was one of the first cities in Michigan to pass adult-use recreational ordinances. Of course, Bay City legalized medical marijuana in 2008 with the rest of Michigan. According to the city, licensed dispensary facilities must be at least 100 feet from any park or religious institution, 500 feet from any school (pre-K through 12th grade) and 50 feet from any court or public safety building. Similar to Michigan State law, adult recreational marijuana users can possess up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis flower or 15 grams of concentrates anywhere except on federal property. Additionally, people can possess up to 10 ounces of flower locked at home. People can also grow up to 12 marijuana plants per household as well, but they must be away from public view. However, be sure to keep in mind that it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle while high and that consuming in a vehicle is punishable under Michigan law as a DUI.
