It's no secret that marijuana is a popular drug within the NFL, despite strict policy against it, but one ex-running back is taking his appreciation for marijuana to a new audience when he opens the world's first marijuana-friendly gym later this year. "Power Plant Fitness" is expected to open in San Francisco, CA by November and is part owned by NFL star Ricky Williams and founder of the 420 Games, Jim McAlpine. Gym members will be allowed to use marijuana while working out and the facility will feature edibles for pre and post workout.
"Having (Williams) as a partner is awesome because he exemplifies a successful and very athletic person who also uses cannabis," McAlpine told complex.com. "The mission of my first venture (was) to show the world that cannabis is not bad and it does not make people lazy nor stupid. And that it can be a healthy and productive part of an athlete's life and training regimen.
