Marijuana And Meditation May Both Reduce Anxiety. Which Is Better?

Anxiety is an uncomfortable and offputing feeling that many people around the world experience in a multitude of situations, and some, but not all, states allow anxiety to be treated with medical marijuana. A recent study out of Washington State University found that medical marijuana is an effective treatment for anxiety, stress, and short term depression. The study specifically addressed each ailment with the intention to find out what ratio of THC/CBD works best for each and the found out that high CBD, low THC was best for treating short-term depression with the opposite low CBD, high THC as a more effective treatment for stress and anxiety. Other studies new and old have shown that meditation can also be an effective method of treatment for anxiety and depression. Between cannabis and meditation or a combination of the two normal ailments like stress, anxiety, and depression can all be treated quickly and painlessly. What works best for you?
Let's look quickly at the new studies. The first, published in the Journal of Affective Disorders, had participants smoke medical marijuana at home, and rate their symptoms of anxiety, stress, and depression using an app that's designed to help people track how different doses affect their symptoms. The team found that high CBD/low THC was best for reducing short-term depression. Low CBD/high THC was most effective for reducing stress, while any type worked on anxiety. Treatments of any kind were generally more effective for women than for men.
