As the state capital of Hawaii, Honolulu is found on the island of Oahu’s south shore. Filled with tons of historic landmarks, fine dining and more, Honolulu is the heart of Hawaii. Explore arts and culture by checking out the many different museums in the city. Hawaii’s largest history museum, the Bishop Museum, features thousands of different one-of-a-kind cultural artifacts from the Pacific. Spend an afternoon perusing the galleries of the Honolulu Museum of Art or pretending you’re royalty at Iolani Palace. Of course, Hawaii is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and Waikiki Beach in Honolulu tops the list. Laying in the backdrop of Waikiki is Leahi (or Diamond Head State Monument), a popular hiking destination with panoramic views of Waikiki and the entire island of Oahu’s south shores.

While the beach life is common in Honolulu, the weed life isn’t. Medical marijuana has been legal in the state of Hawaii since 2000, but recreational use is still illegal. Any Hawaii resident that has been certified by a doctor with any of the following medical conditions can apply for a Hawaii MMJ card: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Cachexia, Cancer, Chronic pain, Crohn’s disease, Epilepsy, Glaucoma, HIV or AIDS, Lupus, Multiple sclerosis, Nausea, Persistent muscle spasms, Post-traumatic stress, Rheumatoid arthritis or Seizures. If you’re not a med patient, don’t worry if you get caught. Earlier in 2020, Hawaii decriminalized possession for those carrying less than 3 grams to a $130 fine so getting caught won’t send you to jail.
