New Hampshire’s marijuana laws are similar to many other medical states. Back in 2013, the state legalized medical cannabis for the treatment of several conditions as certified by a physician. Those conditions include, ALS, Alzheimer’s disease, Cachexia, Cancer, chemotherapy-induced anorexia, chronic pain, chronic pancreatitis, Crohn’s disease, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, elevated intraocular pressure, Epilepsy, Glaucoma, Hepatitis C (currently receiving antiviral treatment), HIV/AIDS, Lupus, moderate to severe vomiting, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, nausea, Parkinson’s disease, persistent muscle spasms, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, seizures, severe pain (that has not responded to previously prescribed medication), Spinal cord injury or disease, traumatic brain injury and Wasting syndrome. These patients legally can possess up to two ounces of marijuana from a state-licensed dispensary. Specifically, in Conway, dispensaries are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Later in 2017, New Hampshire decriminalized recreational cannabis. This means if adults over the age of 18 are caught possessing up to 21 grams of cannabis products, they will only be fined $100 by police.
