A vibrant city found in the heart of New Mexico, Albuquerque has plenty of diverse cultures, art and traditions to change your perspective. No matter what your interests are, this city has something for everyone. With tons of family-friendly activities, sightseeing tours and outdoor recreational activities there will be something for everyone in Albuquerque. If you’re feeling active, mountain bike through the trails of the Sandia foothills or kayak the Rio Grande for a rush of adrenaline. Experience Albuquerque from the air in a scenic Hot Air Ball0on flight or by taking a ride in the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway for the most incredible views of the city. Of course, foodies will love the Native New Mexican cuisine, featuring corns, beans, squash and of course, the famous chile pepper. If you find yourself thirsty, don’t fret. Check out some of the city’s award-winning breweries, like Canteen Brewhouse.
Now if you’re looking for weed in Albuquerque, things might not be as easy. Unfortunately, New Mexico state law does not yet allow for recreational marijuana, only medical marijuana. If you’re caught possessing for personal use, there’s no need to worry. Albuquerque decriminalized possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana, so at worst you’ll be getting a $50 ticket.
