Washington was one of the first states to legalize recreational marijuana in 2012. The state has one of the highest cannabis tax revenues in the nation and has been a leader for innovation in the industry. While Seattle is not the capital of the state, it certainly is the cannabis capital. There are plenty of dispensaries to choose from throughout the city, and many products to try. Most dispensaries operate between the hours of 8 AM and 12 AM but make sure to check on the dispensary’s page as hours may vary. Although the city is surrounded by national parks and forests, it is important to remember that marijuana is still federally illegal, and it is therefore prohibited to use weed within any public parks or forests. Also, note that it is highly illegal to drive after consuming cannabis in Seattle.
