A stop in Fitchburg wouldn’t be complete without a visit to one of the marijuana dispensaries in town. The state legalized cannabis for medical use in 2012 and then for recreational use in 2016. There are several dispensaries in town that offer a variety of flower, edibles, and concentrates and most are open until 8 PM. Note that it is still illegal to smoke in public in Massachusetts, and that consumption should be done in the privacy of one’s home. It is also illegal to consume cannabis and drive, so please take advantage of a designated driver or rideshare options.
